Nah, I can easily believe the trans team lost. Some of those members look middle aged, and others — most — like they never broke a sweat until there was a women's team to join. Male athletic advantage is huge but not huge enough to carry a team of sallow nerds to victory over a team of reasonably talented women who've been playing and training for most of their lives. It sounds like they have a couple serious players and a lot of people who are in the club for camaraderie. They don't train together. They didn't prepare for this game. They prioritized getting everyone on the field for participation points over actually playing to win.

The difference between this team and the U15 boys who beat the USWNT is that those boys were excellent in their own right, within their own category.

Males in women's sports are problematic not because all men can beat all women, but because relatively mediocre men can beat relatively exceptional women and prevent those women's talents from being fully recognized. Men who suck will of course continue to suck, though somewhat less badly than when measured against other men.

I think the ideal thing to do is just come out and say "we should be focusing on gun control." At least then you'd seem honest in saying what you think the real issues are.
