It's like they say... "No good deed goes unpunished." Which is a shame. Vic proves himself to be an absolute saint by helping out these poor folks, and what does he get from these degenerates who do nothing but bitch about the situation, or in Juri's case; try to one-up him? He gets nothing but ridicule, and people further accuse him of being either a sex pest, serial sexual harasser, pedophile, say he went for clout, etc. Not one of these people would ever go out of their way to do ANYTHING for someone in need, let alone an entire nation in need. How is it that some nobody like me has heard of these characters, but Colleen Clinkenbeard has not, despite voicing one (Riza Hawkeye) and working for a company that had some of these properties licensed?

What's sad is that
They promote something like Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket and the first three Rebuild of Evangelion movies on stream and Blu-Ray, and yet are oblivious of the existence of Faye, Riza, Misato, Tohru and Asuka, heroines who typify the type of women Colleen desires in Japanese animation.
This proves one or two things: that either people like Colleen are full of shit, or they genuinely know little about anime and only see it as a way to make money.
Now if you want to use anime to make money, that's fine - that's how business works, but don't call yourself a diehard anime fan and then say stupid shit like "well women are always pushed in the background in anime" when almost everything you had licensed from Love Hina and Noir to One Piece and Full Metal Panic debunks that nonsense, especially when you were a part of said shows.
