History is full of conquered peoples who promised to never submit, lol

:story: it's not Ace Combat, bud
Good thing it isn't. China's vastly inferior planes and EWACs/AWACs capabilities would fare even worse in a simplistic computer game simulation than they would in reality

the Us and its allies have oretty close airbases to the backside of Taiwan, and the other side of the island is also pretty safe for carriers since china has barely a navy that can stay so far away from their shore for long.
Even more importantly, all of the Chinese naval bases that would support such a blockade are well within range of Taiwanese missiles. We've already seen how that goes when the ukies took out that troop transport. Now imagine that directed at every major naval base within 1000 miles of Taiwan.

Imagine what the Seventh Fleet's submarines would do to Chinese flotillas being sitting ducks in the Strait, or in Chinese ports, or trying to get around to the east side of Taiwan to complete a blockade :story:

Modern history is filled with examples that are actually relevant of great powers and even superpowers attempting what you think will be winning strategy for China and completely failing.

it's not Ace Combat, bud

Your going to have to expand on that.

Taiwan is within the standalone combat range of most modern fighters, let alone MPA's, from bases in the northern Philippines and Okinawa. And the entirety of both island chains with minimal refueling.

Do you think the Chinese can match what the US and allies could put into the skies over Taiwan ? Or that Chinese airfields are beyond reach ? Or that the ships enforcing the blockade are invulnerable to airborne threats ?

Let me unload the question then. Russia's mentality is extraordinarily masochistic. It glamorises a tumultuous history and exalts the people's "noble suffering." It fetishises The Patriotic War while its aged veterans lived in utmost destitution. It blames the entire world for its problems while using them as a scapegoat to bolster Putin's cruel crony regime that leads to poverty, violence, brain drain and suffering. How can anyone in their right mind tolerate this?
Probably the fact that under Putin Russia’s life expectancy went from 65 to 75, the Russian economy grew massively, malnutrition and hunger became virtually unheard of, and people get left alone by the government unless they fuck with it(a major improvement from the soviet days).

Putin took power in an absolutely broken country and oversaw its recovery. He even rehabilitated it’s national self-image by fighting and winning proxy wars with America. There’s a reason he isn’t hated in Russia, despite his corruption.

You also make guns, good ones even.
It is the babushkas who make them.

It also helps that all you have to do to be better than the last guy is to simply not drunkenly try to hail a taxi in front of the white house in the middle of the night to get pizza.

Edit: while only wearing your underwear.

It's always that way with so-called racial supremacists of any race though. It just seems whites are the most obvious. He looks like his mom downed half a bottle of vodka daily while he was in the womb. Also I hate how these fucks adopt Nordic symbols because I am a Nord myself, and Thor's Hammer is fucking awesome.
Apparently Thor has always been a White supremacist, like the Dalai Lama.

This is pretty much how all strategic nukes work.
Generally, you don't launch nukes unless your nation is about to become a fucking crater because the only outcome is that your nation then becomes an irradiated crater.

Nobody wins in a nuclear exchange.
This is the interview i was mentioning, you'll have to scroll down a while till you find the 'u gonna nuke nato?" Part, Is Lavrov is a putin yesman? Yeah, but for as much as ruskis lie, they have to throw some thruth in it to make in believable.
Interview here

I hate Twitter but here's an interesting thread about why russia (probably) won't throw the nukes soon.

Russia's nuclear doctrine is easily avaliable to see, can't link it rn.
Medvedev said Russia’s nuclear doctrine did not require an enemy state to use such weapons first.

He said: “We have a special document on nuclear deterrence. This document clearly indicates the grounds on which the Russian Federation is entitled to use nuclear weapons. There are a few of them, let me remind them to you: number one is the situation, when Russia is struck by a nuclear missile. The second case is any use of other nuclear weapons against Russia or its allies.

“The third is an attack on a critical infrastructure that will have paralysed our nuclear deterrent forces. And the fourth case is when an act of aggression is committed against Russia and its allies, which jeopardised the existence of the country itself, even without the use of nuclear weapons, that is, with the use of conventional weapons.”

Medvedev added that there was a “determination to defend the independence, sovereignty of our country, not to give anyone a reason to doubt even the slightest that we are ready to give a worthy response to any infringement on our country, on its independence”.

And now it's all going away :smug:

With how terrible russia has been doing, I can see that happening.
Russian Wunderwaffen: Our helicopters stop the Ukrainian missiles dead in their tracks.

All of his positive contributions are being erased by his incursion into Ukraine. Dictatorships are always a double-edged sword.
