Yeah, funny when he's not your leader. Oh, and not that funny even when he's not, because you have a shameless drunk with fucking nukes.
Keep a contingency plan for tackling the president if he's ordering nukes while drunk. It's a 400 page document that can be summarized with "just literally tackle him and hold him down until he's sober"

It's a good thing insurance policies usually don't cover acts of war, because if they did, Holy fuck would every insurance agency in Ukraine be in deep shit. I mean a few might still get lynched when people find that out, but still.

Probably the fact that under Putin Russia’s life expectancy went from 65 to 75, the Russian economy grew massively, malnutrition and hunger became virtually unheard of, and people get left alone by the government unless they fuck with it(a major improvement from the soviet days).

Putin took power in an absolutely broken country and oversaw its recovery. He even rehabilitated it’s national self-image by fighting and winning proxy wars with America. There’s a reason he isn’t hated in Russia, despite his corruption.

Personally, overall I thought well of Putin until he started this war. Didn't agree with everything he did but, yes, he did oversee Russia's recovery. He has been a strong leader. Have joked that Putin should come here as a "contract President", vastly better than Joey. Just believe he could have gotten much of what he wanted from Ukraine through peaceful means.

As things stand, all the "attaboys" Putin earned by improving things in Russia have been wiped out by the "oh, shit!" of his Ukraine debacle.

Do you think the Chinese can match what the US and allies could put into the skies over Taiwan ?
Yeah. China has an enormous home field advantage in missiles and planes that beats any qualitative gap with potential enemies flying close to their territory. More importantly, the US + allies won't be fighting China on behalf of Taiwan, and never said they will. US policy is "strategic ambiguity", i.e. a bluff they hope won't be called.

As a declining power trying to prolong its waning global dominance, it's possible the US regime will fight China at some point over the next few years. It won't be over Taiwan tho, because that's not a fight the US can realistically win.

Confirmation that Ukraine is back in Hostomel.

Also, unless it's a double count (not entirely sure myself), the KA-52 continues its impressive record for crew survivability.

Hate to airsperg, but the KA-52 is a cool ass helicopter. Not only is it tough as hell and armed to the teeth, but in case of a catastrophic failure or heavy damage, the rotors can pop off and give the pilots a chance to eject.

If U.S. intelligence so much as sniffs a Chinese invasion of Taiwan is imminent (which will be impossible to hide), it's almost certain the US will make it clear it will defend Taiwan. Taiwan isn't some agriculture center like Ukraine, it produces a massive chunk of the world's microchips, Japan or South Korea would also probably want to get involved as well considering they will be threatened by a Chinese controlled Taiwan.
