TGWTG Linkara / Lewis Lovhaug - HMMMMMMM? (Dead Gay Muppet Gangbang)

Yeah, Linkara has a long history of hating "dark" or "edgy" comics, especially those written by Miller or Millar. You would think someone who is disgusted by the portayal of Hulk as an incestuous cannibal would empathize with someone who hates the mishandling of their favorite space wizard characters. I mean, at least "Old Man Logan" wasn't canon.
Well, sort of, they kinda made it canon actually. Like you had Old Man Logan appear in the mainstream Marvel universe after their Wolverine died by getting encased in liquid adamantium. Heck, it was a whole plotline of Logan trying to figure out whether the reason he was brought back was to change the future or not. Also, you say he hates dark and edgy, but he did praise stuff like Dark Knight returns which was dark&edgy and he did voice his praise for Sin City, most I recall was when it came to Frank's works were his later stuff where the dude was totally off the rails.

This is the weird thing about "Star Wars" sperging that keeps cropping up. People bitch about "fans gatekeeping", but then mock and dismiss Star Wars as "space wizard" trifle. I don't give a shit about Star Wars, but isn't it a contadiction to say someone who is really passionate doesn't get a say on what being a "fan" means, then announce your contempt for the thing you supposedly love?
It’s all a matter of the thoughts of the sequels and The Mandalorian and Gina Carano. And the divide of LSG vs Favreau and Filoni.

OK I might be late on this but I just saw his civil war 2 video and all I gotta say is...wow Lewis even back in 2016 you were so basic/beta when it came to your taste in comics.

The comics he admitted to reading: despoil mz marvel and squirrel girl like fuckin wow... IDK about 2016 deadpool comics but this fucker was reading and enjoying the two comics that may very well have been the reason marvel sucked so bad these last few years because of those titles being best sellers that lead the company to thinking that's what the people wanted.

Linkara: I don't know how people come away from this comic not hating Tony as much as Carol.

Also Linkara: Fans told me going into this that some of the tie-ins provided more exploration of Tony's motivations and justification for how he acts.
Something I noticed was, every time Tony did something out of line or jerkish, Lewis was quick with a long rant about how much of a jerk Tony was. However, whenever Carol did something cruel or shortsighted or just plain awful, Lewis either agreed with her awful behavior or glossed over it/barely even acknowledged it.

Almost like Lewis has some kind of bias or something.

Lewis has admitted many times when he says he's a comic fan, he means superhero. And by superhero, he means DC. Aside from Spider-Man, he didn't really read any Marvel stuff until One More Day, then he stopped reading Spidey and then moved onto Deadpool. He probably only read those two to try and suck up to the right people since they were popular on tumblr, despite no one on there actually reading comics. He actually didn't read Ms Marvel when it first came out.

You know, there could have always been the opportunity for him to switch to DC, which he says to be his wheelhouse, and other things are Patreon perks, but he didn’t take it.

Has he ever reviewed or critiqued a comic book that wasn’t superhero related? Because I can imagine him reading something like American Splendor and giving it a bad review because “nothing happens”

He's reviewed things like Horror, Romance, Sci-Fi, etc. It's just that he prioritizes Super Hero stuff cause that's what he enjoys.
