I don't know that he was "ready for the punch" in so much as that people keep doing it to him so he has now a natural avoidance reflex that has developed. The guy who elbowed him lost all his force and momentum when he raised his right leg (rookie mistake), you gotta move INTO the blow and pivot to get real force. If you going to smash a guy with the right arm or fist, have your right leg firmly planted to get some real force.
