Can people stop saying that Russia fucking up is "Just part of the plan"? Not everything is an op, Russia has no reason to pretend that they are doing badly. Please provide actual reasons why Russia would want to fuck its own army more than Ukraine's.
How are they fucking up exactly?

They've withdrawn from around Kiev, and redeployed to the Donbas.

If they were worried about a counterattack from the north or the west they wouldn't be doing this.

Time will tell, if the Ukrainians manage to launch an actual offensive against the Russians then they'd have miscalculated but this seems to me a sign of confidence.

I get it, we're being saturated with propaganda. Every Russian maneuver is a panicked retreat, every bit of territory given up a historic victory for the Ukraine. But also the Ukrainians are being literally holocausted as we speak and the Russians mean to destroy the whole country so NATO needs to step up and fight the bear.

None of this makes any sense, it's not supposed to.

If this article is correct, then Rossiya really is going to bleed itself after all the bluster.

I'm going to agree with this because it jives with what I have been saying all along. If Russia was to win this war, it had to win it quickly. At this moment if they want to salvage the situation they need to figure out some way to end the war soon. Hence Russia's noises about it hoping the war will be over by May. Hugely optimistic, because by May, Ukraine will be fully mobilized and committed to the conflict. Russia has recently begun a general mobilization quietly, largely to avoid upsetting domestic politics. The drafting of 135,000 extra men is woefully short of the numbers required, especially since much like Ukraine at the start of this war, they are going to need a few weeks to train them up and deploy them.

Russia is also running out of transport capacity to sustain operations beyond the railheads. Which means the focus now for them is going to be hold onto what they've gotten. Which is going to get increasingly difficult. The statements coming out from Kiev have also shifted. A few weeks ago it was "please, just stop the war". Now its become "This war will stop when Russia pulls out of Ukraine". They are clearly far more confident now then they were at the start of this.

counterattack from the north
There is ancient evil lurking in the North.

Dude, really? It literally says draft in the bloody link. Regular yearly spring draft that has nothing to do with the war.

The Ukies are claiming that they've found the decapitated bodies of children with their hands tied behind their backs.
Of course this is about as true as Iraqis throwing babies out of incubators but it's being reported as fact in the yellow press.

The first and early lie about the "martyr's of Snake Island" who were all killed by Russian warship after saying "fuck you Russian warship" and that Zelensky commemorated their deaths, was only believed by stupid people.

Why do stupid people keep falling for lies over and over again?

How are they losing the war? It's like saying we didn't win Gulf War 1 by not occupying all of Iraq.

That's the regular bi-annual draft, not anything special. If he refuses to let the outgoing class demobilize, that gives him 135k bodies to replace regulars on garrison and send them to the front, but this is a routine thing for Russia.

same reason smart people do - because they want to believe them. I still lol at anyone that tries to convince anyone of anything over the internet after decades of experience to this, let alone trying to convince them over hot button political topics like this. every patriotic Ukranian must believe in the myth of Snake Island as well as in the Ghost of Kyiv. that it's all a lie can (and already has) always be disregarded with 'don't care - it's a nice story of the good guys winning.' with cognitive dissonance handling skills of 1984.

the same ofc also applies to the russiaboos ITT still not being capable of admitting that Russia fucked up with the initial push to Kevin, that was to be part of their original demand for regime change (notice how mum they've been as of late during peace talks on that one lmao), and is now doing what they can to salvage the situation with their order to pullback. and then the same ofc also applies back to the ukieboos saying that nononono, russians are not pulling back they are BTFOed and UTTERLY STOMPED by us 4evah while ignoring that they're likely still fucked with their territorial losses in the south and the east and that, by all likelihood as indicated the last couple of times this was proudly proclaimed, Russia will not simply run out of supplies in 2 weeks (tm) and that this war will likely grind on for a few months more at least.

Colonel McGregor's latest thoughts as of yesterday.

translation: "Cruel shots: DPR tank destroyed positions and military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The DPR fighters corrected the fire with the help of UAVs and achieved high accuracy, destroying the positions with the invaders in the Donbass."

I am subbed to a lot of Russian telegram channels thanks to this and the old thread.

Now if I wasn't lazy enough to probably learn Russian as well.

I looked at reddit (I know I know) last night and they were rending cloth and gnashing teeth over a report saying that the Russians were going to Ukraine towns and killing all the males ages 18-60. There were no links to the report, just a reddit post saying that it happened. I'm trying to find the thread but I can actually feel my brain tissue dying and rotting away the longer I'm on that site.

So. ARE the Russians systematically killing all males ages 18-60 with no one hindering them or is reddit being reddit again?

Edit
Found the thread.

technically, one could argue Zelensky is confirmed to be doing this with his conscription order whereas russian troops without strong proof that this is so are so far only alleged (I have seen videos of them definitely icing civilians on the roads when feeling threatened, but so did the US in Iraq. none of it seems to be something as systematic as an order - if it's a male ukie, it's a dead ukie.) so I think the 'dead women and kids' angle would work out better for them TBH. not that it really matters if you ask me, both sides are so fucking far into warcrimes territory by now with the prisoner torture and utter disregard for corpses and civilians that getting heated about it for either side's benefit purely makes sense if you're actually there and fighting for said side.
