General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

So is the whole Calli thing about retards not knowing how to read so they are assuming she is saying that all black males belong in hell? I hate hte world.
At this point, I'd like to see what Calli's first song consisted of that made these idiots seethe. Does anyone have an archive?

Edit: Also crazy to think back to the time when all of ID had sub 100k. The Peko effect is real.
Worth noting here that the Peko effect only lasted up to April last year, when Moona started crashing back to sub-1k viewers due to management pushing them to speak more Indonesian, and her avoidance of collabs (especially with Pekora) due to antis. She spent the second half of 2021 slowly clawing back viewers by grinding unarchived English karaoke.

Am I stupid for thinking this? But is Cover specifically against them 3D debuting at all outside Japan or are they against them setting up an unofficial office outside Japan in North America to 3D debut? If it's the former that sucks ass and I hate when Japanese Business bureaucracy does this shit but if it's the latter than maybe they can 3D debut still but they have to each figure it out separately like dedicating a room in their own home.

I'm still confused about why Cover seems incapable of getting business visas for their talents. Japan is open for everything except tourism right now, and there's no timeline for when that'll resume except some speculation it might reopen in the summer. Is this related to her saying Cover won't subsidize travel, because what the fuck.

I can kind of get them not wanting the official 3D Debut outside of Japan honestly. Since I'm sure they want to make it as good as possible. I'm not sure what tech they use in their studio, but I would imagine it's better than even the mocap suits (which are still great and miles better than the Index Trackers). For their Birthday and Anniversaries though? I think it's fine if they did stuff at home, but I don't think that's even in question since Kiara specifically mentions Debut.

Does it suck? Yea. But I can see where they're coming from.

Yeah I can see that being the case. While some like Mori, Gura and Ame are drawn to Twitch I cannot see someone like Ina making a Twitch debut. Better to have the accounts registered by the company and made available should they so choose to be used by the talent.
You mention Mori but her plan to do guerilla streams on twitch didn't really go anywhere.

I actually argue it is actually a bit of both and the reason ties with each other. Let me attempt to break it down: (Keep in mind this is just my shitty take on it, I'm most likely not correct)

- All Holomems have had their 3D debut in their studio. So as such is the Japanese way, the tradition must be continued for 1000 years. BUT everything is perfectly fine tuned FOR the Holo models, so it would also look the best arguably in their studio.
- They wouldn't have perfect control over it. In their studio they can control everything plus some serious experts on hand. If some of your talents made a make-shift studio else where, what's the stop them going nuts. Got to give to take here.

The bit that gripes me is that I think after debut, they just let them do whatever with their 3D's. Ame will be in her element and everything. But the 3D debut HAS to be done their way first, which is nuts to me.

TLDR: Enforcing Japanese rules on a English people don't always work out. There no real winners really.

i keep forgetting LeeandLie still existed like i remember her during the early days of youtube, she still relevant or she just clinging to old fame like your guy from TFS the druggy one
Well, she's voiced the main girl in the English dub of one of the most popular anime of this year, Marin from Dress-Up Darling. Which kinda became a small meme because she made sure to point that out whenever she introduced herself in collabs.

You have to remember, there's two types of Persona 5 fans. Persona 5 fans, and Persona 5 fans who have actually played the games themselves. As a member of the 2nd group, I hate the first group just as much as you.
There are also:
  • Persona 5 fans who only played Persona 5,
  • Persona 5 fans who only played Persona 3 or Persona 4 before,
  • Persona 5 fans who are unaware that Persona is a (shin) megaten subseries
  • megami tensei maniacs :optimistic:
