I'm going to go out on a limb here and say these "female-socialized people" never really understood the fact that male socialization is centered around doing shit together, not just talking or sharing our feelings. Duct-taping your friend to the wall and doing other stupid shit is how we bond. And in a world where no one does anything in real life anymore, we're missing that.

Not to say men don't have to work through their emotions. We absolutely do. Sometimes we just need someone to talk to. But the brunt of our emotional needs are based on getting a sense of achievement out of what we're doing, even if what we're doing is fucking pointless.

I think this is more than women being attention whores- male culture is, in some respects, less emotional and more focused on achievement. there's a reason history often is attributed to "great men", a fundamental male desire is to provide. for his family, for his wider community, ect. the modern world doesnt allow us to be pioneers, to be builders, explorers. we've become trapped in useless labour that only exists to provide work, without physical creation or exercise. the west, and the male lifestyle, has been destroyed by the loss of industry and bluecollar work
