The last years in Afghanistan produced relatively few US casualties. We likely could have stayed there, as you have alluded, forever. But we shouldn't have stayed one minute longer than needed to kick out the Taliban and oversee free elections. "Nation-building" was an utter waste of people and resources.
It's almost like it was only done for the Gold, to keep Israel's backyard pacified, to monopolize some Opium, and to create a bunch of angry rapefugees to then import into the west. 4 birds, one big stone.

Americans fucked up in military campaigns on several occasions and hopefully learned and got something out of them. Afghanistan was a great training ground for testing new weapons and equipment and many NATO countries got use out of it. What is your point, they could afford to have some incompetence. They are not considered top dog for a reason.
No it wasn't, and no it can't, and "hopefully" is not good enough.

Afghanistan wasn't a success for America. And what's more it was a completely avoidable failure. It's not "uuuuh it's just life, it had to happen it was inevitable". If people involved had been less incompetent and less corrupt things wouldn't have ended up without all that time and money wasted.

Military campaign, hark at this burger.

America doesn't do campaigns, it does carpet bombing of enemy infrastructure, mass murder of civilians and attempted occupation which it's horrendously bad at. Where's the skill exactly in dropping thousands of tons of ordinance? US infantry tactics consists of patrolling and calling airstrikes on any Jihadi that so much as looks at them funny. They were two generations ahead in their weapons systems compared to the enemies they chose to fight. It was the equivalent of the British army battling spear chucking tribesmen, and even then they still fucking lost. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, one humiliating defeat after another. But no one copes harder than a burger so here we are.

Now we're back to proxy wars. America will just pay people to fight their battles, ISIS, Azov no matter, the more psychopathic and bloodthirsty the better, good for the optics.

Burgers need to genuinely get fucked.

Ukrainian troops hailing a captured tank everyone seems stoked.

I'm an American. My government and its media lie about every single thing, even when they don't have to, but especially when it comes to war. If they claim something, I do not believe it, until shown overwhelming proof.
Wait unitl you learn about Russia
These people are clueless Russian bots.

Look how stupid the Russian propaganda is getting, they are sweeping for mines yet they have a camera man in front of them sweeping to film it. They aren't even trying lol.

There's a ton of western (including US) propaganda just like this that is just as dumb. That said, your point stands fine.
Good luck having a journalist show actual mine sweeping or any live action unless they're a combat journalist there to do just that and those tend to be uniformed.
Afghanistan was also a great place to train and test things in. Almost every western nation sent in troops and gear to field test. It was not a complete waste.
Less freedom (this site for example is banned), Shit box economy, Dictatorship.
The West can do as we please fuck off with this China number 1 shit. I hope this shit turns into world war 3 so we can squash this bullshit nuke threat and put the communist fags in their place once and for all because shit is gonna go down at some point, whether its me, or my kids or my grandkids we are gonna wind up fighting these fucks.
What is the number 1 military in the world? You do not get there without live battlefield training. 100 soldiers dead a year on average seems reasonable especially when compared to the projected losses of Russia.
That said I'm replying overall to tell you to please shut up holy shit you're a moron. Trying to justify sandbox malarkey with your dumbfuck takes is not relevant to the thread and is retarded. Post your webms to laugh at ivans but stop arguing and talking about wars you had no involvement in nor intend to have.

Are you including Afghans? I'm pretty sure they were people, too.
Am I counting Ukranians? Also, second part is debatable.

The downside to dropping munitions on a fucking wedding is the rest of the world doesn't really trust you anymore.
That was Yemen and ordered by the guy unconcerned with extra-judicial assassination of US citizens. Drone made a second pass to frag the first responders. Not my president, not my problem.

I don't think that's coherent or consistent. You're defending the principle of Ukraine's secession and self-determination from the Russian Empire/USSR, but Ukraine won't let the Donbass republics go.

Secession from communist empires is ok, but state borders derived from those of erstwhile administrative units of said communist empires are sacred?
The Ukraine hasn't recognized the LNR, the DNR or the annexation of Crimea and they are under no obligation to do so due to Russia's siezure of those territories by force of arms.

But do you know who did recognize the Ukraine's pre-2014 borders and sovereignty? The Russian Federation.
