I once heard a conspiracy theory that claimed that the Jews were actually pretty scared of losing control over the territorial integrity of I*rael (for several reasons) and that they were preparing Ukraine as Isn'treal II. What this conspiracy theory has to do if anything with this headline, I do not know.

jerusalem status doesnt mean shit for state security, its purely a symbolic thing that pisses off the muslims because muh holy sites

i think their biggest fear is that the right wing jews lose power to the leftist jews, who will give more rights to both israeli arabs and palestinians, which then increases muslim political power in israel. this could then start a self-reinforcing cycle that keeps increasing muslim power at the expense of jewish power in perpetuity, until eventually the muslims capture state institutions and then it's basically game over for the jews.

I'm an American and I also 50% think it's suspect that the US refuses to investigate. Then I remember Hunter Biden had business in Ukraine and now I 50% believe the Americans don't want to find anything either way in case it ties back to the Bidens. Plus it's not Jan. 6th so the US government is busy investigating nonsense at home.

Israeli foreign policy in a nutshell: We must secure the future of Israel and failing that, her people. Above everything else. Their concerns about existential threats are not unfounded. Pretty much everyone around them wishes they did not exist. Through their politics, through their words, and through their actions. They will state-sanction warcrimes to put a stop to such threats. They won't even hesitate to do so. Having a good contingency country would not be a bad thing to most people in power in Israel.

The Russian system your referring to and US systems are completely different. Russians still use vastly inferior interceptors with lower speed and range, but compensate with nuclear warheads to attempt to stop incoming reentry vehicles.


US systems target missiles pre-separation thousands of miles away from their target while in mid course and that's been the case since before we pulled out of the treaty. GMD is the only domestically installed, as in previously banned by the treaty, US defense system since the early 2000's and it's potential effectiveness at intercepting missiles thousands of miles away doesn't necessitate close proximity to civilian infrastructure
