Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

Is every wikipedia editor lolcowish?
I think the ones that participate in needless political arguments and put "wokeness" before actual neutral point of view are, but a good chunk (and maybe majority) aren't. Old British man writing about a rural train line that he rode as a kid, some Buddhist monk writing about the intricacies and details about his certain subsect of religion, you'd be surprised. I'd love to learn another language and read all the little niche articles on their wikipedia. Sounds comfy.

I think blatant propaganda can actually be a good source of information because it's very clear about its biases and spotting cleverly hidden bullshit is much easier when you're just casually reading.

That's one of the big points of Hilaire Belloc's "Free Press". That and 'once news makes it into the mainstream, it's too late to do anything about it'. He talks about newspaper, but the basic point is true for all media.

They should just fork it and tell them to go fuck themselves.
Surprisingly, the common opinion and administration seem to agree that Russian Wikipedia should be left to do whatever it wants. The discussion was closed and was told to move to either RU Wikipedia or Metawiki.
I know we shit a lot on Wikimedia administration, but some of them, just some, see through the bullshit and do try to continue Wikipedia's founding principals of neutrality, non-censorship, and documentation.

There was some Keev sperging on St. Olga of Kiev's page, it's locked now likely due to an edit war between the Keever revisionists and Kiev retainers.

I should really look for any page where Kiev is spelled Kiev and see if this sperging is there as well.

A linguistic distinction without a difference. It makes me wonder if this is done on Chinese pages, with people who love the CCP's Pinyin romanization vs Wade-Giles traditionalists.

Today's wikipedia home page had two interesting highlights

This book article which totally isn't promotion for a literal random book.

and this yaas kween article on a Ukrainian woman no one ever heard of unitl it was made earlier this year.
oldest.JPG

Olena Iwaniwna Stepaniv (7 December 1892 – 11 July 1963; also Olena Iwaniwna Stepaniw, Jelena Iwanowna Stepaniw, Olena Stepaniw-Daschkewytsch) was an Austro-Hungarian/Ukrainian soldier, public figure and economist. She became known as the first female officer in the Ukrainian army.

The issue here is that she was a member of the Sich Rifle Division, which was a Austro-Hungarian regiment of Ukrainians from their Galician provinces, not Ukrainian. tomato tomato I know but it is a notable distinction. Granted she swapped loyalties once Ukraine was founded but can we really call Interwar Ukraine a state when it existed for like 4 years and was being fought over by every political faction imaginable?

Why do wikispergs make these fucking bios?

Could have picked a better name than what an incel calls his mass shooting when Stacey fucks Chad instead of him.

Was browsing the miracles of St. Floyd and found this one in Cambodia. Just astoundingly hilarious to me. Didn't know Cambodians were so woke.

They have Hooters in Singapore? Thought they only hired big titted women.

I'm curious how long this state of affairs will be until they come for the military spergs and catholics in general.

What the fuck?
Am I the only one who is in favor of exposing all of the editors of Wikipedia. We already found one with harambe warrior. They are peddlers of the cult.

I don't know what is more scary, the fact that enough people to populate a good sized city actively edit Wikipedia or the fact more than half those people have likely been actively editing for more than half a decade.
To be fair, how many alt accounts does the average autismo on Wikipedia have?
