John I'm no epidemiologist but I don't think you can contract covid via Final Fantasy Online.
She didn't mention this on her podcast that was recorded while she was supposed to be at GDC, didn't mention she was going anywhere to anyone, and never sad anything about having to cancel. Nope, not until twitter was dogpiling some woman about going to GDC while having covid did this story come up.
She literally made up a story about how virtuous she was to own some person she doesn't even know and, I suppose, talk up her non-existent credentials as a game developer in the process. LOL, 20 meetings. About what? Revolution 62?

At first I thought it would be the time he went during the scampaign and hung around outside but his made up story probably relates to the scampac era. Either way, his last line, "my bank account might disagree", shows how he views his noble political endeavours.

Lol, GDC was heavily virtual this year, with even in-person presenters creating video content ahead of time. There was no reason for someone not directly part of the industry to go. Brianna made a game several years ago and has no relevance in gaming anymore, other than whatever bullshit sexism he imagines to exist.
Any of these imaginary meetings could've taken place virtually, just like every other meeting since covid was a concern. His supposed waste of money was not a sacrifice he made in order to save people from covid - if it even happened then he probably couldn't book any appearances or meetings at all. It's easier to lie about planning to go than to go and have to explain the zero interactions he would undoubtedly have.
Slight PL - I saw him at GDC once, and he was just standing around by himself on his phone.

I remember years ago when I mostly just knew about Brianna Wu, and I felt bad for Frank because he had to live with her. And because she spent so much time on twitter belittling him.
I don't feel bad for Frank anymore. He deserves the humiliation, the terrible smell, the improvised vagina, the financial drain... all of it. Especially for enabling Brianna with the unearned lifestyle she has now, but also because he seems to be just as much a lolcow but without the same social media diarrhea as her.

How is this Orwellian? Isn't this what people wanted? Didn't they spend two years lecturing everyone how disinformation on Twitter was such a serious problem that SOMEBODY HAD TO DO SOMETHING? Didn't they say that worries that Twitter might not do it properly, might do it to certain people's advantages, etc. all get dismissed as unimportant in the face of disinformation existing?
