In America, they're passed out like candy. This is hardly an exaggeration- I personally knew a therapist who said that HRT approval letters (to take to your doctor) should "come from vending machines." She also stated openly that she would ask a client a list of questions at their (first, and only, and free, 20 minute "assessment") only because she was supposed to, and would always, always, always give them their letter no matter how they answered the questions.(I hope I'm not powerleveling)
I have yet to encounter either a therapist or psychiatrist who encourages transition. The closest I can think of is a female therapist I know, who had a patient once that went by a male name and male pronouns for about... two years, before reverting back to her original name and female pronouns. She's very happy with herself now, as I hear it. Also a music therapist with a patient who is a transman. I don't know the details of that, but her patient was long down that path before meeting her.
I guess this might have to do with differences between countries. The only people shilling HRT and SRS where I live are transgenders and their minions - no licensed psychologists. Yet.
A therapist will always approach the topic with more caution than the 'farms so as not to alienate their patient. That doesn't mean they would ever urge a patient to transition. There is a lot of talk among them and none of it would placate, let alone please, the thought police hivemind.
How did she make money off this? She didn't. These were not her long-term, paying, talk therapy clients. This was just what she did as activism. Yeah. She thought she was making the world a better place by giving access to these hormones to fucking ANYBODY.
It's China LMAOAn offtop question. It it even legal to experiment on human cadavers? I guess only if the human signs certain papers during the life...? or not?
