Either way, Russia's air force is out of date compared to China's, who have actually managed to get a 5th Gen Stealth Fighter in serial production with the J-20 with around 50 of them built so far, vs the 15 SU-57s.

It does seem like Russia has no actual capability to build modern tanks and aircraft that compete with modernized Abrams and Leopard 2s, as well as F-22s and F-35s, that actually reach serial production. T-14? Somewhere in the ballpark of 20. T-90Ms? Around the same number. SU-57s? Only 15. They've been trying to make scopes standard issue for years to no avail. The biggest impact the T-14 is going to have will make the next generation of NATO tanks and modernized Leopard 2s and Challengers become equipped with an upgraded cannon by making the Rheinmetall 120mm they use into a 130mm.

This is supposedly the second largest military spender in the world, but they have had very little modernized equipment in the last decade to show for it, except the newer T-72s and T-80s, which still fucking lack blowout panels which has been a standard in many other armies for decades now, and why we've seen so many tanks with their turrets over 20 feet away from the hull. I knew the Russian military was corrupt, that they make themselves out to be a bigger threat than they actually are (which TBF every military does) but this past month has been a wakeup call for me in terms of just how incompetent Russia's military is.

The problem with all of this are nuclear weapons and any war with Russia will inevitably involve nuclear weapons.

Nukes are such game changers and any agreement to not use them in total war will fail since it would be as if the Germans and French in 1914 agreed to not use machineguns and modernized artillery and instead wage Napoleonic style battles only with rifles and light artillery, a delusional agreement that the French couldn't afford to agree since Germany had a lot more manpower than them.

Is it Russian or Ukrainian cities falling every 3 days? Is it Russian or Ukrainian forces surrendering in the thousands? Is it Russian or Ukrainian forces that have the capacity for force projection and redeployment across the theatre?

The Ukes have hardly thrown a major punch in weeks, the Russians have been throwing them consistently. There will be no great counter attack. There will be no NATO intervention. Zelensky won't get a no fly zone. The Russians may decide to stop the bloodshed by keeping their goals the same as they started at, or they may ask for more, but at the end of the day - Ukraine loses cities, acres, autonomy, and the war.

No matter which side of the war you are on (caring about neither is obviously the best one), I think we can all unite in saying that you aren’t a good poster. If you really do care about “owning the alt-right Nazi chuds”, I think you should do so by volunteering yourself for Ukraine. At least then you could maybe get a gun instead of seething online for everyone to see
