Personally I would consider The Ukraine the "good guys" if they weren't a NATO puppet state full of American corruption, with a government installed by a questionably organic coup. The Donbass thing is fairly murky, though Crimea is clearly Russian. As it stands they're really not a sovereign nation.

I don't consider either to be the "good guys", but The Ukraine is definitely (visibly) doing far more of what I would consider morally questionable behaviour.

for me I would honestly say that the sum total of what I've seen of Ukranian sentiment fits the Narn from Babylon 5 by this point quite perfectly:

Pretty sure the A&H version of this thread is mostly the banned people who were pro-ukraine both for the most part are functioning as contained hugboxes. I also got banned here until the mod got ran out of the Autistic Thunderdome by sperging out at me and abusing their power. This place is a shithole of ideas anyway and may as well be the wild west, only modding needed is policing illegal shit and fedposting bans I am one of the only people who bothers to post war footage. Also, the Ministry of Defense says Ukraine cancelled today's prisoner exchange after repeatedly shrinking the number of soldiers they are willing to trade. 251 person was delivered during the previous exchange with no issues, which makes the Ministry of Defense concerned something may be wrong with the Russian prisoners.

Yeah, the military power difference between burgerland and russia has been pretty decidedly spelled out by the past 42 days.

Turns out having an overfunded marketing department full of interns shitting out woke advertising to get industry asspats and awards for resume fodder and a bunch of superficial political appointments does not infact cancel out the fact that the US military is orders of magnitude better equipped, better experienced, better trained, better funded, and especially better logistic'd than pretty much all its international rivals and opponents combined, and the only nations with reasonably comparable (or even arguably better in some cases) equipment and experience and training are all firm US allies and still utterly dwarfed by the scale of the US's military assets and logistical capacity.

This is why murica back 20 years ago was able to invade and occupy two ultra hostile and ultra militarised desert hellholes on the other side of the planet without suffering even a fraction of what russia has lost in terms of men and materials in trying and thus far failing to invade its proverbial front lawn and getting the shit kicked out of it by its proverbial garden gnome

Everyone who is buying gas, effectively, because Putin attacked petrodollar by demanding all energy trades with Russia be done in Russian currency now. Through Russian banks, too, so no more freezing Russian assets willy-nilly, thank you very much. Hungary was the first (and so far only) country to agree to do it directly, other customers are using a scheme to convert EU and US currency via a proxy so that sanctions TECHNICALLY stay on, but the trade is still going on in roubles. The exact mechanism was described in this thread couple hundred pages earlier.

Thats what a firesale on gas and oil looks like, who wouldn't want to buy excess oil off them when the Ruble was at 130 USD? Now what are they gonna do to keep it propped up now that everyone who is willing to trade with them is fully saturated on oil and gas?

The fantasy retellings of Iraq and Afghanistan have begun. In another 20 years people like you will be saying America managed to conquer the two countries without any casualties, using only 3 Humvees and 2 squads of Marines who had just woken up hungover from a weekend booze-up, killed over 900 thousand armed, trained and equipped Iraqi Army and insurgents (who were being supplied with current-gen anti-armor and MANPADs by China) and instilled democracy in the region for the forseeable future.

so how has your countries main stream media been treating this war? for Sweden, they are 100% for Ukraine and think Putin is the devil. no mention of the azoth brigade, Ukraine using their people as meat shields and executing Russian soldiers.

alot of news about Russians killing civilians and hiding their bodies. not that i dont think the Russians aren't doing that but it makes me question it since they want to paint Ukraine as this complete innocent country who did nothing wrong and fighting the good fight.
