Over the last couple of days he expressed condolences over the media stars leaving Russia (who the fuck cares?), called Russia's losses in Ukraine "significant" and, allegedly, said Russia will not object to Finland joining NATO? (I haven't yet verified this latter claim personally).

That's three major fucky-wuckies from a the presidential spokesman in what, 48 hours? Are they laying ground to topple the head honcho and concede?

The Finland/NATO thing was more of a threat than acceptance, from what I read. Still need to watch the whole thing myself.

OR from the sound of it they could be trying good cop/bad cop American style diplomacy. As in, some members of the govt saying one thing to keep the liberals happy, other members of the govt doing another thing to promote the country's interests and keep vatniks happy. Still odd though.
