Flam covered it pretty deeply in his streams tonight and last night, which I've watched, and… yeah, I can't really follow it either. Bunch of catty literally whos accusing each other of shit nobody cares about. Maybe they still have latent synchronized periods from the days when they were friends or something.

Hopefully it's over now.

I know simps are idiots with no taste or standards and all but with that kind of money you could commission the one of the greatest sculptors in the world to make a real statue with the finest marble, metal, and gemstones in the land instead of auctioning for this cheap plastic looking crap.

Who would buy this and feel comfortable having it in there home, it is a legitimate toddler/preschooler avatar.

It's like this vtuber an acquaintance of mine liked, she had a cute loli cat girl thing going on, I mean I thought he was a bit of a pedo fag or paying money to her but whatever, but then she got a new toddler avatar and started using it, seriously I do not understand why a male over the age of 25 would want to watch someone act like a baby for 5+ hours a day.

Knowing Kana this was bound to happen eventually. nta, but whenever discord jannies get anal about loli posting I'm just reminded of the time they updated their TOS to ban loli hentai, but had to be convinced by backlash to ban cub porn as well because all the staff were furries. The same jannies are probably grooming real kids across the platform so I can't help but think there's some projecting going on whenever they use the hammer.

Kana is kind of a cow because she was one of those girls who replaced Tumblr with 4chan and syrupy tumblr nonsense with depression. A bit of history.

Her claim to fame is revealing that she had beef with her artist* during an anniversary stream, and then getting harassed by one of her spurned discord jannies.
*Allegedly, her problem was Nacho (the same one who designed Gura and kinda-sorta lolibaits) not returning her emails, which meant no art updates. It's a little unfortunate because Nacho pretended Kana didn't exist for years, even though Kana was the first vtuber she made and there's a nonzero chance that model eventually lead to Nacho being hired to design Gura in the first place, but that latter part is just idle speculation.
This was followed up with an announcement of a much more toddlerlike model redesigned by actual lolicon hentai artist Henreader.

Before switching to the new model, around July? 2021 she left Youtube entirely for Twitch to get away from her 'terrible Youtube audience' only to be faced by the exact same people in her Twitch chat.
This was then followed up with by soft nuking her 140k Youtube channel to replace it with clips.
In February? 2022 after getting the Henreader model, she had some kind of menhera woman moment where she stopped streaming with any L2D (or human) avatar in some kind of bizarre shit test to see if the viewers were actually there for her personality instead of the model.
Earlier this month she announced she was retiring or something. I really stopped following the drama and she stopped getting /vt/ threads so I couldn't even passively absorb drama.

If anyone has a better recollection of the timeline please do say it.

Nacho doesn't consider Kana to be hers because all she did was a redesign like Henreader. Kana's original designer is herself.
If anything, Kana pushed to be considered as Nacho's "daughter" after Gura blew up iirc
 
Calliope Mori from HoloEN 1 has been signed to Universal Music. This comes on the heels of the "lean" controversy earlier this year, and Twitter getting mad after they discovered that her roommate, who raps under the moniker DemonDice Karen, acknowledged that she doesn't meet traditional rap stereotypes (in other words, she's not a black man) in a song on her debut EP from 2017, and after she had her 3D debut at a major Hololive event in March.

Of course /vt/ is mad too.
