I have so many questions. Why is Rios allowed to smoke on the bridge? Did Elnor graduate in one year? Did Raffi not receive any training on dealing with death? So they just let Jurati off the hook even though she is a murderer, If the Borg Queen had that tentacle why didn't she use it before, also if she could just assimilate by touch why didnt she use that before, is Soons family inbreed cause a lot of his family members look the same.

Another question, why are the episodes so short? Minus the last episode recap and the intro, today's episode was barely over half-an-hour. And explain to me why the dyke daughter of 21st century Soong knows how to use a computer and search for shit but has NEVER searched for her dad? And Borg need endorphins in order to assimilate the host? Does that mean they jerk you off as the nanites transform you? Sounds hot.

Therefore at that point, his future self has and has not come back in time, its a superposition of his actions, which collapse when the divergence happens/doesn't happen. Also, supposedly the 2024 is supposed to track Trek timeline, so that they're not in present day real Earth. 2024 Star Trek universe is on the path to World War III (it starts in 2026) and like only 30 years past the eugenics wars which killed tens of millions. So politically and socially, it's not current day Earth. If this is what the writers were thinking, then maybe some dialogue to explain to the audience this was the case would have been beneficial. It would only have taken a couple of lines before they left the ship.

"Remember, the eugenics wars occurred 30 years ago, tensions are high on Earth in the lead-up to WW3, x, and y are the things that will trigger it, we need to not alter the timeline, rather restore it so don't do anything to cause z.

Not mentioned: why millions of Mexicans are illegally sneaking in to the racist, fascist BLONALD BLORMPH States of America in order to be mistreated by evil white men. Also not mentioned: why the evil fascist racist law enforcement officers are rounding up and deporting people with no lawful right to be in their authoritarian nightmare state (California) where they apparently love oppressing the poor and minorities.

It's a grab bag of performative, mutually contradictory talking points (environmental degradation is BAD but infinity immigration and all the pollution that creates is GOOD, impoverishing the poors is BAD but importing hordes of scab labor to take their livelihoods is GOOD) scraped off Twitter from other blue checktards who in turn outsource whatever they're claiming to be mad at today to other extremely online assholes and the Washington Post. It's an ouroboros of inanity, a latte-sipping soyfag in serpentine contortions to eternally autofellate his own shriveled trannycock.

It doesn't matter what they're ranting about, I'm pretty sure Alex Kurtzman doesn't actually give a fuck about ICE, or saving the whales, or Mexicans or Star Trek or whatever. They'll do an extremely ham-fisted and cringe story about Klingons invading Space Ukraine to misgender trans kids or something next, because these people aren't really even writers, they're just extremely online script jannies who know nothing and care less about entertaining storylines, technology, science, speculative fiction or character development. Signaling imaginary virtues is what they do know, it's an important social ritual in the narrow and fetid social bubble they inhabit, and it seems to please the 5 or 6 NPCs unironically watching Picard as well as execs who long ago lost interest in producing quality and now only care about content.

And that's what Star Track is now, along with most Western filmed entertainment: content. It's the exact same thing as the repetitive cartoons little kids like to watch on their iPads. There's no cultural significance to it, it's just product that'll quickly be replaced with next product on an eternal production line of soulless mediocrity

@Sexual Chocolate, these people think Mexico is the only country in Latin America in the same way they think the only planet of the Romulan Empire is Romulus. Mexico blows up? Well, better send their millions of people all to US because Panama, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, or Peru don't exist and totally are not places with the same language and similar culture they can live in.

Conflicted between my desire for an official DS9 HD remaster and desire to not see any DS9 connection in these new series. I feel like they'd have to drag Ds9 characters into Picard if they were doing a re-release.

I dont think the writers have watched a single Trek series that didn't have a movie or coombait blonde so there's a low chance of either happening.

Strangely enough, Picard could actually provide an explanation for this with whatever experimenting Soong does on his vampire daughter. Although they probably won't. It'll probably some how set up why Data is back in s3, despite making a point to kill him in s1. After he died in the previous TNG movie.

I actually like this as it comes off as sort of a logical evolutionary step between Constitution and the Constellation classes. The Decatur class however I can see where they're going with it but visually it is all sorts of wrong. If FASA had created it, at least they had the courtesy to state in universe mistakes have been made. And experimental designs don't often pan out but someone have to build a few them to find out in actual infield conditions.
