General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Notifications work bad so I usually just go on youtube, write "Hololive" and click the live symbol. This led me to discover this extremely obscure vtuber group that just perplexes me. It calls itself "Beatus" and all I can find is mentions of it on a wiki that it's a vtuber group made by a relatively obscure game developer. The channels have relatively low viewer/subcounts but continuous content. There is nothing on them on vtuber wiki and they're only mentioned on a wiki for the game made by the aforementioned company. All reddit posts mentioning them are from a year ago with no further comments. I can only find references to it on 4chan from a defunct /vt/ link and another thread for indietubers asking who they are. There also appears to be a steam game released "Spring 2022". That's all I can find, and it's weird how a group, who aren't indies, has so much content but is so obscure on information. They don't seem to be a shady pyramid scheme deal given it is an actual company who've made games (Thast appear to get decent ratings on Steam). Anyone know who they are?
I don't think it's weird. There are tens of thousands of Japanese 2~100 CCV vtubers that just don't have anything written about them in English. Vtuber post contains the most comprehensive database of JP vtubers.

From what I can tell, INSIDE SYSTEM is a modestly successful Japanese indie game company that spun off a vtuber unit called Beatus Creation in May 16, 2020. There are eight vtubers between three generations and they do typical corpo vtuber stuff like collabs, sponsorships and even 3D events.

Also one of them rides a motorcycle IRL

There are tons of Japanese vtuber companies with relatively high production value, years of content and low viewership. Vtubers have a low operating cost, but I'm not really sure how sustainable it is with this amount of competition. It could be that they are passion projects of people who already have assets to work with and want to take a shot at playing real-life idolm@ster.

ROARtheRapper being a chad yet again

This may look like he's about to throw a bitch fit, but he's being very reasonable.
I've watched a couple of this guy's reaction videos and man, I wish he didn't do them from his car. At least he doesn't have his giant vibrator microphone this video. Good take tho.

Also, who's feeding him our archives. :)

Ame struggles to collab with people inside Hololive by her own admission. The idea she's going to reach out to Nyanners or be swayed to collab with the pink cat is pretty absurd as rrats go.

Not to mention the only vshojo member Ame actually had a connection with was Silvervale, people say she even got her into vtubing. Nyanners of course had a collab with Kiara after proclaiming chimkin as her "favorite vtuber" during after party of that concert thing with Kizuna AI if I remember right so it felt rather calculated as Kiara's insecurity issues used to be worse at the time but once it happened I don't remember them talking about each other ever since, even collab begging on reddit and such seem to stop.

Better give HoloSchedule a try, this and LiveTL are pretty much a must have.

I was randomly clicking links you guys posted and found this. Though I don't really care about whether or not you guys report or ignore, I found this pretty funny

2 month tweet vs. at least 5 years ago :story:
I think the issue with reporting is that if that twat returns to twatter with a new persona, no one will know that sped's previous behavior

She went from 2 view to 30k in almost a year and she's still thinking she's a fuckup. Even telling us that managements reaction to her 30k would probably be along the lines of "ok, but why are you still doing the type of content you usually do?".
If I were management my reaction would be "holy shit the stinky rabbit girl is pulling insane donations and viewcounts for her subscriber base, she sure knows how to attract a dedicated audience."

I don't like to get sappy too often on here 'cause it makes us look like a bunch of faggots, but I'm really proud of her.
You'll have to watch Nina's stream when she's finished, but it was something along the lines of Nina stealing Pomu's axolotyls, which caused Pomu to fire up a "Spitecraft" stream where she pouted and burned down other people's houses.

I got the impression Pomu was half joking, half kinda pissed off.
If only there were some kind of cult religion out there for people who truly love axolotls like Pomu does. Oh well...

Anyone here a Bae member? Earlier in her Powerwash stream, chat randomly convinced her to take an IQ test, but she was gonna do it members-only.

I'm well aware online IQ tests are even more useless than the regular (proctored) kind, but still kinda curious if anyone knows what she got.
Most are highly inaccurate to try and scam you to buy stuff. But she did 3. She got 140, 115, and hard pay walled at the end of #3 which took the longest and gave no indication of the pay wall. She was malding over that one. Was pretty funny. It was only $7 though so she paid and got 138.

Here's Canadian Kermit talking about how the US Army uses IQ tests.

Put taking IQ tests behind the paywall... one of them ends up putting up a paywall... I'd say comedy writes itself, but that's low-key a high IQ play. She lost nothing at the end of the day.

Vshitshow used to be “Nyanners and her merry friends” to “Nyanners and Ironmouse reality show”

It used to be a perfect stepping stone for Nyanners then Ironmouse manage to catch the wave and ride on the ship. After the drama with Nux, Nyanners look like she’s lying low for now because she’s on the internet long enough to know that silent is golden. It won’t be long until Nyanners collab with someone from Hololive but she needed to stay low for now. I think Nyanners have Ame as her immediate target goal for collab because both of them came from the same era of weeb (2004-2005).
And Ironmouse's streams have turned into "Connor show featuring IronMouse".

And about Vshojo/Holo collabs, I really don't see anyone but IM doing them but you can grudgepost me if it happens.

If you want to archive and post tweets from literal 18 year olds who can't even figure out what their own gender is - let alone remember what the internet was like 5 years ago - at least contain it to one post. Hide it with spoiler tags and edit that post when you want to update the list. Bookmark the thread page and refer it to others in the very, very rare chance someone is so bored that they end up asking about it. Posting a new list of tweets from angry children tweeting to three other retards in every page is getting tedious.

I like Ina but I've very rarely watched any of her streams, since Hollow Knight way back when. My impression is that she's the type of streamer who finds one game she likes and plays it into the ground before moving on to the next thing. If you don't like that thing, then oh well. On the plus side it means that if you do like that thing, you have a big vod set fairly quickly.

Yeah you just described 2022 for Ina so far. I like her Elden Ring and Pokemon streams even. The problem is that a good portion of the EN girls are playing these games at the same time. Even Ame is hooked now. The Pokemon I can excuse. They had a limited time to play it, but no one playing the Souls games has indicated they are on a limited amount of time. I'm hoping Ina does reduce it down to 2 times a week. A couple weeks ago she was at it 4 times a week. I guess it's a good opportunity to break out of the art grind.

Edit: The one thing that may be interesting is for everyone playing the game hold PVP tournaments to decide who are the Elden Lords of Hololive (it would have to be Lords to take into account that they can't crossplay between the PC and consoles.)

Here's a summary of a fascinating arc with Brad Taste in Music and Demondice fans:

-Some chode requests Snake Eyes as a reaction
-Brad makes the video 'Worst Song Ever' about it, then gets his fans to put it as a single on Album Of The Year and make it have the lowest average rating
-Demondice fans not only hate-raid the video, they make AotY accounts to give 100% ratings to counter the mass 'zeros'
-Brad throws a bitch fit and complains to the AotY mod team about spam ratings...for an entry he made for the purpose of spam rating
-He puts the YouTube comments under review, then makes a video on his 2nd channel called "Vtuber Cancel Culture Strikes Again" where he goes through the DDK/Calli drama that he wasn't aware of; interestingly enough, he sides with Karen on this
-Puts a comment on the first vid basically admitting to clickbait
