Not to white knight Chibi but asking for video proof of identity from some sketchy ass fake twitter is totally reasonable. It's not grooming to ask an adult online who's flirting with you in DMs to prove their identity in some way and literally everything about that account is sketchy from the generic username to the lack of any followers or interactions other than with Chibi. Even Chris Chan figured this out to some extent at one point. And it was totally a catfish, so I don't know why this thread is freaking out over it and calling it grooming. He was actually being pretty reasonable for once...

Which he promptly blew by going and broadcasting it and angsting all over twitter and Facebook, because he just refuses to respond to any situation without MAXIMUM SPERGING I guess. Chibi, you almost had it, come on man. He could have just quietly blocked "her."

Even if it was a catfish it's creepy for him to be going after a girl that much younger than him. In fact, I'm fairly certain there was a show based on that concept.

He never saw anything from that account that wasn't last few cosplay pictures. And besides that even if it was someone trying to fuck with him he could have had basic conversation with them about anything and waste their time completely. But he wanted a "Friend" which is to him someone who will listen to his sob stories all day and support him with all the shit he tries to pull off like @FanaticDreamer fell for.
Also this dating girl decade younger then you isn't that much of deal since there are girls who mature quicker and like older guys. Problem with Chibis and most of the guys online are they go for the girls who are mentally stuck as 12 year olds.

Manipulation is a skill easily learned by autists too- they learn from a very early age that having a meltdown or pretending to have one gets them what they want as their parents frantically attempt to calm them and appear in control of their potato. The autists who make it in this world are the ones who have parents that see through that bullshit, and know when to apply pressure to teach the kid coping skills with stress stimuli and when to pull back and let them retreat into safety.

You can see it in action in any of the recordings featuring Adam's mom. He was never punished or faced consequences for his poor behavior and absolutely knows mommy will just blame the ol' autism again and again instead of holding him accountable like he should be.

I agree with you on principle but I feel like you might be giving Chibi a bit too much credit, if there's one thing we know about our boy is that he's one hell of an unreliable narrator. He constantly lies and exaggerates about the most trivial shit for attention and pity points, so I don't think we should take his story at face value.

If that photo of her cosplay was when she first approached him, this means Chibi went nuts for her, started seeing her as a boyfriend-free girl and then declared her a troll all in the span of two fucking days, so I really doubt he was anywhere near composed or reasonable about it. Given how desperate and thirsty for e-thots Adam is, he might have been the first one to approach her, the first one to start flirting and he might very well have asked for more than just a video proving her identity.
Honestly, even knowing that was a catfish, I'm pressing X to doubt almost every word coming from Chibi's mouth until we see any chat logs.
