Yet you're here, right? So there has to be some draw, some fascination. If not about Philosophy Tube the person, then about the surrounding Internet phenomena. I don't find anything of interest in the content he consciously produces, but the unconscious arrogance, selfishness, small-mindedness, the cruelty to his enemies (and even his friends!) while preaching compassion and understanding... that gets me because he's visibly sowing the seeds of his own downfall. Sign me up for a front row seat. I'm not ashamed.
No thread on the Farms appeals to my better angels, but on earth there are no angels, so whatever. Yes, I get a sick thrill out of watching this smug mfer self sabotage. Not my best moments. But there are worse ways to indulge a fascination with destruction — like, for instance, lighting a pitchfork and mobbing the sinner of the day for a minor crime. In comparison, gawking is just mean. I can be mean. I'll own that. I do think there's something uniquely appealing about watching a person who doesn't deserve what they have destroy their unearned good fortune, because they leave no room for the usual cancellation excuses: no
my enemies had it out for me, I've been unfairly maligned, don't you see the powers that be are manipulating you against a friend, etc. If your fans slowly peel away, it's simply because YOU have failed to captivate them. I'm sure when the decline is undeniable, PT will spin it into blah blah transphobia misogyny ageism, but everyone else will see through it. They already do. Every r/Breadtube thread about a PT video these days contains criticisms of its philosophical shallowness and prioritization of the host's persona.
(I also don't talk to my friends irl about PT, but only because it's Internet nonsense — mystifying to anyone who hasn't personally suffered through his videos. And I don't like to make my friends suffer. Thankfully we've all chosen to suffer here together.)

Everyone who disagrees with me is actually jealous and bitter: a thread. Why are there so many of these threads on Trans Twitter? Actually J.K. Rowling is a closeted trans man, actually Dave Chappelle is a chaser, actually you're just hating because I'm prettier and happier than you, actually cis is boring and trans is cool so there — case closed. They work so hard to drum up an aura of desire around themselves. That isn't the natural behavior of anyone who's actually, currently desired.
I can say for myself that I've loved being a woman (though if I woke up tomorrow in a male body I wouldn't transition — it isn't worth the health risk, and it wouldn't look right anyway). I was lucky to grow up in a family that didn't treat me any differently from my brothers. I've never experienced sexual violence or any harassment I couldn't deescalate. I'm not burdened by responsibilities beyond those expected from any functioning adult regardless of sex. And I've gotten to know and cherish women in a way that wouldn't have been the same were I a man. That's a gift.
"Joyful expression of femininity" lmao femininity is irrelevant. Honestly, I pity the fantastic shallowness of the womanhood they've imagined. If womanhood were just femininity — expression, performance — I might resent it for real. In actuality, I enjoy being a woman because I am one, not because I've romanticized the concept of woman into some great freedom from the prison cell of manhood.

definitely not men definitely not obsessed with masculinity definitely not simmering with resentment against anyone embodying the strength and courage and coolness they desire but can never achieve
