Putin would never agree to this condition. How the hell would he sell this to the Russian population? "Yeah, you know those Nazis I vowed to removed from power because they want to genocide Russians? They got nukes now."
The US should have never told Ukraine to de-nuclearize in the first place. Ukraine would be in a better situation right now if that didn’t happen.

They've outright stated they've given up hope of taking it back by force. Crimea right now is the thing you act like you want back, but in reality are willing to give up in negotiations. It would be a shitshow to get it back now, I doubt there's many pro Ukrainian people left there.
Basically this. What matters is the withdrawal of all Russian forces in the north has given the Ukrainians a massive morale boost. A lot of people at the beginning thought Ukraine would be on a purely defensive stance, that any territory they lost would not be regained, and while I have my doubts they can recapture cities with a fight, they've definitely proven they can recapture towns and villages with a fight, even outside the northern front as a couple towns have been recaptured in the Kherson front.

No, it was the right call. They most likely would have ended up selling them to some shithole like north Korea or Iran. Seriously look into what their storage was for nuclear related items, shit was scary and a disaster waiting to happen

Strange, Google "real time" results is giving me this.

They aren't but that's what their goal is because they are fucking insane. They've already started the sanctions on China, on government officials which is how it always starts.
Ok, US goverment just has no plan and is dumb.

I've never seen anybody struggle so hard in defending their thesis as fellow kiwis defending "the west wont lift sanction even if Russia withdraws from Ukraine".

It’s already a disaster now even without Ukraine having nukes, so I don’t see what the real difference would be other than Russia not being as set on invading Ukraine. Ukraine isn’t going to join NATO anytime soon, so they arguably need more protection because of that.

You have posted empty political platitudes that amount to "maybe". When a politician says "maybe", it is Diplomat for "no". Like I said before, no concrete proposals were put forth.
So what's no in Politician than?

I know he's a Polack ( :stress: ) but he seems to unironically believe Liz Truss is making decisions on matters of importance and her retarded noncommittal ramblings are worth paying attention to.

Liz Truss, the woman who went to Russia to tell Russians Britain would never accept Russian sovereignty over Russia. God or Allah help and/or smite us.

Liz Truss is a retard even compared to the rest of the retarded Tory party. She would make May look sensible and she was an absolute disaster.

It's been stated before, but they didn't have the launch codes or the ability to arm them. While I'm sure they could have eventually made them usable, or at least used the materials to make new ones, they weren't usable weapons. It's a miracle as is that no nuclear or biological disaster occurred in one of the post soviet states all things considered.

No they have a plan and it's dumb. You act like these were just run of the mill sanctions, these were the harshest sanctions America's ever levelled against a country, they sanctioned Russia's central bank, there is no coming back from this, there is no return to normal.

I don't know how difficult it is but it wouldn't surprise me if someone figures out how to do this with that proprietary battery:

Or builds his own.
I think the issue isn't so much volts and amps, but the fact that MANPADS have tricky internals.
One is for example thermal batteries. A salt in solid form acts as insulator, but when molten it becomes an electrolyte that connects the anode and cathode. These batteries can discharge a large amount of power for a short time, so they're used in missiles because they need a lot of power but only for a minute, minute and a half.
Number two is the possibility that they have a tank of refrigerant fluid, which is used to cool the seeker to very low temperatures. An uncooled seeker generally can only detect exhaust heat sources. A cooled seeker can detect an aircraft from the front just from the friction with the air heating up the airframe.
I'm not sure how these cooling tanks degrade, but most of the MANPADS gifted to the Mujahedeen were inoperable by 2001 because of either batteries or coolant leaks.
Seems most likely that Ukraine bombed the train station, and the west blamed it on Russia.
They're literally quoting RT bruv.
The serial number argument is more convincing but jury is still out on how sequential those babies are.
"For the children" could just as well be Russian because the "children of Donbas" is a relatively common talking point. There's video of Givi lecturing captured Ukrainian soldiers on the children killed by the conflict.

We have put more sanctions on Russia than we ever did on groups like ISIS. I think it was an overreaction, in my opinion. Going too heavy on sanctions too soon just makes escalations more likely later. It was a retarded plan.

For the US is was a good thing. For the Ukraine? No. Clearly not.

They froze russian central banks acounts inside federal reserve.

What "freeze" means? This means that they temporary take control over those as oppose to privatization (they take it but pay compensation) and nationalization (they take it, but dont pay compensation).

All they have to "return to normal" is to unfreeze accounts.

I don't think America should have sanctioned Russia at all but even in regards to their goals, it was a retarded plan. They blew their wad all at once, there's nothing else economically they can do which is why now they are sanctioning Putin's and Lavrov's daughters.

Was it really an overreaction? Did the Bidens have nearly as much money at stake in Iraq as in Ukraine?

No, it was good for everyone. They couldn't use those nukes. Plus their storage for the nukes and related materials was a horrifying joke, there most likely would have been a nasty radiation related incident sooner or later. The US has made many stupid decisions in the post soviet era, eliminating old soviet wmds through various means was not one of them.
