I don't know why people would be surprised that they hired some people with referrals in mind. This happens on every other business out there, and if you're working on releasing teams that work well together it's always a safe bet to pick up someone that one of the employees already know. I mean, Amelia mentioned meeting Gura before, Sana is conveniently Ina's friend despite being continents away from her, awfully nice coincidences very close to one another. Just imagine the fucking headache that would be managing an unit with people that hate each other's guts, every collab would be a spergfest considering some people simply can't be nice to others!

This doesn't happen in Hololive, but does happen in most companies out there so people are making assumptions based on wrongful premises. Almost everyone has a story of working with some fucking idiots that wouldn't be anywhere near the positions they occupy if not for friends in high places, but we are talking about a company that is very concerned with it's own image, and whose business involves directly interacting with the fans. Hiring some unlikeable asshole that can't write their own name without fucking up because of some friends inside the company is something they would never do, they have to deal with a volatile fanbase with good hires already, let alone if they went full retard and stopped giving a fuck!

Having someone you vetted vouch for a guy has it's own strenght, but isn't everything, precisely as you said!

In most cases too, nepotism generally requires the person with the connection having some managerial/executive role that would be able to directly influence the hiring in some capacity. And I highly doubt the talents get anywhere near the interview process in most of these major companies. Referrals are a thing, but any competent hiring team should be able to suss out any bad reommendations.

I have no idea why something like this always gets thrown around here. I could understand if the girls graduate due to settling down and getting married, physical or mental issues, or even just deciding that it's time to hang it up. But I seriously doubt that any of them will graduate because they think they can get more money by leaving Hololive. Even the code monkeys from /vt/ know how ludicrous that sounds that they don't even bother to use it when falseflagging. We have data. We have an idea how much they make in terms of merch. And even though we don't know how much their cut is from sponsorships that come from shueisha, Sega, FamiMart, etc. If we use the informatio that we've gathered from other streamers we can at least infer that they're indeed making money hand over fist. Superchat is such a small drop in the bucket that none of the EN girls except Kiara even turn it on from time to time. And the only reason why NijiEn continues to milk SCs is because they haven't gotten the high profile sponsorships that HoloEn has yet. Seriously people, if you're gonna doompost, at least make it something plausible so that theres a chance that the /vt/ autist run with it.
