Final update on the ames vtuber shit.
She quit. https://twitter.com/Iracebeth_Crims/status/1510186753470214144?s=20&t=wPxDT6hxlVJznOazZtPXvg
I find it too funny at how many people are saying your not absolute shit to the bitch that shits herself on camera
I know people kept mentioning this before, but I'm presently woozy from pain medicine so I joined the rank of the ones that confused her with Amelia. Who thankfully doesn't shit herself live and isn't a colossal bitch. Quite the scare lol!
I don't know why people would be surprised that they hired some people with referrals in mind. This happens on every other business out there, and if you're working on releasing teams that work well together it's always a safe bet to pick up someone that one of the employees already know. I mean, Amelia mentioned meeting Gura before, Sana is conveniently Ina's friend despite being continents away from her, awfully nice coincidences very close to one another. Just imagine the fucking headache that would be managing an unit with people that hate each other's guts, every collab would be a spergfest considering some people simply can't be nice to others!I feel like the nepotism argument for at least Cover is a moot point if the worst we have to show for it is Sana and that's mostly because she never streams much. Nepotism after all got us Pekora of all people.
Please stop conflating 'Nepotism' with the concept of being an inherently better entertainment product by virtue of having good relations with existing members on top of your preexisting talents.
Words have meanings. Important meanings. Meanings that are powerful enough to change an implication from 'This person got a job alongside friends' to 'This person ONLY got a job BECAUSE OF their friends'.
I can't think of a single person who had connections that is such a waste of space that they could only have got in via direct intervention from people within the company.
This doesn't happen in Hololive, but does happen in most companies out there so people are making assumptions based on wrongful premises. Almost everyone has a story of working with some fucking idiots that wouldn't be anywhere near the positions they occupy if not for friends in high places, but we are talking about a company that is very concerned with it's own image, and whose business involves directly interacting with the fans. Hiring some unlikeable asshole that can't write their own name without fucking up because of some friends inside the company is something they would never do, they have to deal with a volatile fanbase with good hires already, let alone if they went full retard and stopped giving a fuck!
Having someone you vetted vouch for a guy has it's own strenght, but isn't everything, precisely as you said!
