In [current year], those people you mention are unironically the exception to the standard degeneracy and insanity that pervades the alphabet-people. Didn't really intend for this to go into politisperging/effortposting.

Either way, not really the point: Artemis the Troon is all of those things, and un-entertaining to boot.

Didn't he start as Pikamee's mod? I remember he was like THE Vtwitter, someone that managed to built significant hype for his debut through networking on that platform inspiring countless other talentless faggots to follow in his footsteps even if said debut was largely seen as disappointment. Anyway the only thing Artemis actually had going for him was better model than pretty much any other indie at that time but it doesn't stand out nearly as much this days.

I have no idea how or why that line was drawn, heck i even fell for it myself and unsubbed from our lolicon kettle fearing the worst. But no, I eventually did a little digging and the BasedShark guy was just a random artist. Pretty good, too, if i recall. I guess that was just one more coattail Artemis tried to grift (like stealing the shark gimmick from Gura and squatting in people streams so his shills suddenly saw him and said "omg Artemis watches [vtuber he wanted to skim viewers from] how cool!") and ended calling himself based shark on his streams. Did Connor become a mainstay popular in EN Vtuber scene now or something? When Kson about to end her Elden Ring stream after 9+ hours yesterday, the chat start to spam her to raid Connor. She almost did it too, if it isn't for the fact that she doesn't know how and mess up the raid command so it doesn't do anything. I don't hate-hate Connor, but I prefer not having to see him so much. What you have to understand about TT fanbase is that when one of the guys interacts with someone(e-celeb or vtuber in this case) they are now part of "TT lore" and they won't let it go easily.
They also have huge hateboner towards hololive fanbase that dates back to first Mori episode and the reaction it caused so every time holo interacts with them or even does collab with them, they think it is as a win because "it makes holotards mad". And because Mori is forefront of this she is basically their hiding place among holos.

Never have I witnessed a statement this hilariously untrue. ID Gen 3 currently has the best debut numbers of the entire ID branch and Kobo specifically has been a breakout hit in Indonesia making her the fastest growing ID and having the highest consistent median view count in the entire branch's history.

HoloX is especially hilarious because their debuts we're noted for having absolutely titanic numbers. Their views currently stabilized but Laplus is consistently an above 10-15k+ chuuba.

Saying theirs not much interest on the Hololive front of new generations is laughable especially with the turnouts of ID 3 of all branches.

NijiEN gen 5 often has better numbers than gens 1-3 and HoloX and HoloID Gen 3 have some of the best numbers for JP and ID vtubers period. They're not exactly good examples for the decline of vtubers.
