Her first blog entry after her return is the story of
her POTS diagnosis (
a). I know this will be a shock but her fainting was caused by not eating. She got the TTT (positive), the sweat test equipment was down so she wasn’t subjected to that, her nerve study was normal, and she never discloses the result of her breathing tests. So the only test that was positive was the one she could fake by not eating or drinking for a few days, which we know she does. Cool. Recall that right after this she went to an autonomic clinic run by quacks who confirmed it. Jaq pulled this same shit – her mayo GES said she retained 10% at the end of the test, which is the cut off for extremely mild gastroparesis but they told her she didn’t have it and would recover if she ate normally. She took this test result to another doctor who recorded it as positive, then took the diagnosis to Dr. Nudell (part of Trevino’s polycule) to get a tube. She never got another test after the Mayo one.
Ah yes, “winter is coming,” a reference so obscure that I, who have never seen a single minute of GoT, recognized it.
Muh medical ptsd. Also this person has been spamming her with genital herpes ads for weeks and that makes me laugh.
Even after surgery to remove her bowel and getting C. diff, she was
still being difficult (
A) and refusing every treatment that could have helped her until she was out of options.

Intussusception, the same complication that killed Jaquie a few months later. In Jaq’s case, her intestine wrapped around the feeding tube and died before they found it. Chey avoided this fate but was told
explicitly by the GI to
remove her tube, get off TPN, and start fucking eating (
a) or she would die. She is told this is happening because she’s not using her GI tract and her unused j-tube is irritating her intestines. But don’t worry, this man had a change of heart when god himself said Chey wasn’t lying! And so he prayed with Chey the next day and the doctor demanded Satan leave her tiny body. I am making none of this up, please read if you do not believe me.
Over on youtube she is angry that she has to stay on TPN, claiming she doesn't absorb it properly and does WAY better on J feeds. Even more angry that they're trying to say she doesn't need TPN and needs to try eating. We learn that during the volvulus surgery she also lost her appendix and part of her small intestine.
Instead of realizing her body is shutting down, Chey just uses it as an excuse to brag she wears pediatric hospital gowns.
This is Chey at her worst, a
self-satisfied diatribe (
a) about how doctors don’t know shit but she forgives them for all the mistakes they’ve made by not taking her at her word every step of the way, not recognizing that if they did she would be dead. She’s in the hospital with
another obstruction (
a) and infection on Thanksgiving and is still whining she doesn't get to control every aspect of her care. She won't (or can't) run her j-feeds, but TPN is killing her. Even while her doctors scream at her to eat, even while her organs fail, she keeps playing games. She's also still encouraging other girls to
advocate for their own feeding tubes (
a) so they can kill off their gut too!

at all.
Also please point and laugh at PoisonHivey’s super real anaphylaxis, which is sticking her tongue out and squinting while pulling her head back to make her chin fat roll more prominent. Also note the “before” pic she was like 50 lbs lighter. I must have laughed for about 45 minutes after seeing this.

I cut a wide path around her because all I knew was she had a spinal tumor from steroids and was really paralyzed. I guess I should have known. Getting evaluated for a transplant in Washington, DC.
Her blog has been fluff for a month but at christmas she announces she has a GI bleed and it’s
because of her feeding tube (
a). It’s almost like she was warned about this happening. On New Years, she has a minor moment of realization that this is the
“climax” of her health journey. (
a) Sure she’s still seeing her life as a novel she’s writing but there seems to be some awareness that she has lost control of this situation.

She spends the beginning of 2019 with

a) and little health drama. This blog, we learn at 7 she had s
urgery to remove a lymph node (
a) on her scalp, which lines up with the pics of her in the hospital as a child. She claimed this is the start of her bladder issues. But regardless, she was not hospitalized all the time as a child due to her super serious genetic conditions. She had a normal childhood illness that led to minor surgery.
And she's mad about that
Hulu show about Gypsy Rose Blanchard (
a) because people might accuse Masties of faking now and it portrays moms who advocate for their kids as monsters. She is aware that to outsiders, it looked like her mother was sickening her. Lol.

We learn in this one that she is
dependent on enemas (
a) to shit now. She’s 100% TPN fed and can’t tolerate any formula. She’s
losing weight (
a) on TPN again. The version they’re giving her contains no iron because she claims she reacts to it and she’s refusing tube feeds.
Weirdly, despite being super sick and having that new heart problem, her monitor showed nothing.
Yet another broken tube
her home healthcare company ditched her by going out of business. That’s hardcore.
Continuing her quest to get a transplant. Can’t stay on TPN because it’s wrecking her organs.
And she turns into a little hellcat whenever someone suggests she might still be able to fix this without a transplant at this stage.

Down to 2.5 ml/hr for 3 hours. A teaspoon.

They're still trying to get her to eat. Her immune system is attacking her. She still wants her j-tube back. Still -

She’s on high dose steroids and her liver is destroyed now. They’ve never replaced her j-tube because of all the obstructions and infections, so she can’t run feeds

sent her into a mast cell crisis because, like every doctor, she didn't know what she was doing.

She gets sent to an HLH specialist in North Carolina after they found her spleen and pancreas are also enlarged. She mostly discusses this on her youtube. Her liver levels are worse. They're increasing her steroids even more. The doctor wants to admit her but she leaves because they don't have her special bags. They try to change her TPN lipids but shocker, she has a mast cell reaction. Chey feels sorry for herself because no one is offering her a miracle cure. Well, they are, but there's something wrong with it every time.
More biopsies. Her liver is huge.
Starts the biologic drug Anakinra (Kineret). Surprise! she "fails" it.
They find she has active EBV in her bone marrow that's making the HLH worse. Starting Rituxumab (Rituxin), another biologic. Possibly starting to realize how fucked she is, since she's visibly complying with her steroids now. Moonface coming in nicely toobz.
She’s officially in
liver failure (
a). They’ve found the new TTC7A mutations on reviewing her whole exome sequencing and she’s now blaming that for her health problems and trying to suggest she has some issue that is causing her to develop more and more pathogenic gene mutations as she ages. Still convinced she’s going to have a miracle recovery that lets her stay thin, go off her steroids, play sick little princess forever, and fuck with her j-tube.
graduates college. For some reason her super severe MCAS didn't stop her from attending in person.
Yet another gene mutation found in NC. This one is on the FANCL gene and might be contributing to the anemia. Once again it sounds like this is one of those super-rare gene mutations that is seen in people who have certain types of anemia but doesn't necessarily
cause it, and it's only the fact that Chey's entire body is melting from the inside that is making it significant.
But chey is high on life right now because due to the extreme rarity of this disease and the fact that every other case has been in very young children, she's being referred to pediatrics again!
Turns 23 and heads to
Cincinnati Children’s hospital (
a) to be eval’d for a bone marrow transplant. Cincinnati begs to differ that the TTC7A mutations are the cause of her problems. Her liver shows fibrosis and was so large they couldn’t see the whole thing on one US screen. She’s now getting Solumedrol instead of solucortef. And she’s coming back in February for a second eval. Lookin real yellow there Chey.
My favorite part of this, though, is that they evaluate her joints and find she has a totally normal range of motion and is not hypermobile except her elbows. She's claiming this is because she now has Still's Disease and hEDS + Still's = normal joints. Rheumatology begs to differ.
And her puppy is now a service dog. This is the only time he’s a “service dog” and it's becuase she wants her puppy at Cincinnati with her. Anyway, she’s shitting blood. A few days later, it’s so severe she needs six bags of blood and her bowel is disintigrating. Biopsies show she has thrombotic microangiopathy in her gut, which happens with HLH. She gets an opportunistic fungal respiratory infection.

a), where we learn she blew the last possible treatment for her condition (a bone marrow transplant to fix the HLH before her liver was completely melted) by being an impossible shithead in the hospital. She pitched a fit over which brands they used on her and still refused lipids. The doctor apparently correctly pegs her as a grown up playing forever sick kid and sends her packing.
But the real magic is on her youtube. Here she talks about how they redo the 24 hour urine test (the one for MCAS that she keeps saying comes up false negative because dumb doctors let it go out of temp). She's angry that they make her do this because she's already diagnosed and they should just accept it and is eventually forced to. She squawks at attempts to change her lipids and feed her again. She starts shitting blood, her fever spikes, but she's still having a temper tantrum over exactly how they are to care for her and what they are and are not allowed to do. They want 24-hour sitters in her room now to watch her. They scope her and her intestine starts to fall apart as they're scoping. They finally kick her out after she starts complaining about brands again. She makes sure to slip in that it's because she's an adult even though she LOOKS TWELVE AND IS ONLY 80 LBS!!!! So there you have it. She was kicked out because she was a non-compliant munchie pest who refused everything and didn't have any of the diseases she claims.
Her illnesses make her
VERY SPECIAL (
A) and it's not her fault you're jealous.
You know what she’s 100% not lying about? Her liver is
fuuuuuucked. She is bright fucking late stage alcoholism yellow.
So now she’s stuck, because her liver and intestines are actually failing after years of fucking around and giving herself an actual rare disease. She needs a transplant or she will die. Cincinnati was the only one willing to deal with her, they’ve thrown their hands up like everyone else, and it's entirely her fault. And now, with no more options, she can magically ~tolerate~ the same lipids she refused to try at Cincinnati.
