Someone like DeSantis would've been tossed in an insane asylum back in the 2000s.

Trump ran for president back in 2000 on a similar platform to 2016, was seen as a joke but in a good funny way, and never was seen as serious contender and Trump himself did it for clout.

Politics really did feel "static" and "boring" in that era though it was by design, it was a slow death that King Nigger decided to fuck up and accelerate in his 2nd administration and now we here.
