PrEP is for if you have a partner with known HIV whose viral count is still detectable, correct. However it is also indicated if you are expecting to have sex with someone who is in an at-risk category, or if you are expecting to be having unprotected (or even protected, honestly) sex with many different people.
I’m sure it also provides big ~gender euphoria~ to FTMs even if they aren’t being particularly promiscuous, so that could also be a part of why she has a prescription.
In the end we only know what Alyssa tells us in order to figure out why she’s on it, and even then we need to take everything with a grain of salt.

It's big in the gay scene (a lot of grindr profiles will use 'on prep' as code for bareback)
hasn't really percolated through to heteros yet

I doubt that particular practice ever will, it takes both people to be desperate for bareback sex for there to be any kind of demand for it, and in hetero sex there is probably only ever going to be one. Besides HIV is the first concern the gays have with unprotected sex, and the last concern most heteros have.

Un-fun fact, gay male rates of other stds are skyrocketing because they're all taking Prep and forgot HIV isn't the only problem that can come from unprotected sex.

I have to say, I have literally no problem with same sex marriage etc but boy does the combination of having a dick and wanting more dick make you act fucking dumb.

Not completely certain, but #3 looks like doxycycline.

Printed description on the bottle gives us, "round," "peach, " and numbers that end in "61."

Printed instructions fit for doxycycline: OK to take with food, take 2 hours apart from aluminum/calcium/iron/zinc, tell your doc if you're pregnant.



Bottle #2 doesn't have a label, which might mean it's a few capsules from a larger supply, or maybe that the person they were originally prescribed to didn't want their name attached.

(The small quantity of capsules would fit for the duration of an antibiotic, or for the probiotics to go with an antibiotic.)

It is, in fact, Adderall-XR capsules. Which she’s always been open about taking and explains much of her goblin-like behavior. Maybe now people with zero knowledge of the subject will stop making baseless speculations about how “sHe’S tOtAlLy oN mEtH!”

I knew a whore who started PrEP but quit taking it because the side effects made him feel too crappy to be a whore.

I know Alyssa's a munchie who particularly plays up her "muh mobility!" because she's both hopelessly lazy and an attention addict, but reading about Truvada and Testosterone side effects made me a little thunkful. Seems like there's a nonzero chance she's legitimately crippling herself just to enjoy menopause in her 30s and LARP as a gay dude.

So she's on the GrandmaFuzz path, where taking hardcore opiods leads to other problems, for which there are other pills, so you wind up traveling with a sack o' meds just to go out to lunch. And for the other members of the Fuzz family, it leads to a lot of discussion about whether you're senile, psychotic, or just high as balls. Vicodin, Xanax, Wellbutrin, and a bigass pot of coffee might sound like a lot of fun, but I don't think it is.

I doubt she has any medical need for the speed. If she did, it wouldn't make her agitated, but the opposite. A competent psychiatrist could confirm the diagnosis by whether or not the medication for it actually works. I think whether or not she has a prescription from a doctor, it's probably some Dr. Feelgood and she just likes speed and said what she needed to get it.
