Whoever wins will be replacing Pat Toomey for fuck's sake, hardly a staunch MAGA supporter as it is. Parnell dropping out killed any chance to fill that seat with a Trump Republican, now you are basically just trying to hold serve.

I kind of look at Pennsylvania kind of like Florida, you have to keep building momentum to turn the state more and more red, but it is a process. You had to have Charlie Crist before you got DeSantis.

Oz seems like a Republican version of Al Franken. He'll have his own opinions that differ from the norm, but he'll stay in his place when challenged.

Oz also has a connection to Trump via the Fitness Council. Wouldn't be surprised if he's more loyal to Trump than McConnell, hence the endorsement.

This is why I belive Oz is the lesser of two evils and why I wanted him to win after Parnell dropped out.

According the celebrity gossip sites, Oz was encouraged to go into politics by Oprah. And Oprah has a massive bunch of issues of being connected to child traffickers, a rapist who fled to Indonesia, and not to mention her orphanage that was discovered to have child sexual abuse. She gave a tearful apology, but she doesn't care.

Also, any gun dealer who buys a home made gun needs to serialize it.
(It is and has been illegal to sell an unserialized self-made firearm, or to buy one. A gunsmith can't even work on one.)

You can sell guns you made (person to person or to a dealer), but you cannot produce them with intent to sell. I also seem to recall the serialization requirement for FFL's is a bit more nuanced than "must serialize before resale", but I can't remember the details. I've never even heard that a gunsmith can't work on a home build.

The differences between how the Democratic and Republican parties work may be at play here, i.e., the difference between a factional coalition and a coalitional faction. Ds are traditionally bigger on "we all cross-support each other's full positions," with exceptions made only where necessary to the maintenance of power, while Rs have usually been more "if you agree with enough of these positions, we'll let you in the tent." If he's the most electable in the jurisdiction, and he's on board with enough of the party's positions, even if not all of them, then that's likely enough.

You can serialize and sell one home-made firearm per year without registering as a manufacturer, last I checked. However, you can't legally transfer ownership of a non-serialized build.

Biden's executive order, as I've heard it, would require a legal dealer who buys a home made firearm to have it serialized. However, they could not buy an unserialized firearm in the first place. Or maybe they could? Maybe it's legal to buy one, but not to sell one?
