Should the title be re-worded to expand the scope of the thread?

China sees an opportunity and they are seizing it. Kill the US economy and you kill the petrodollar.
Im fairly certain that this is a part of the great reset anyways.

Remember that they want some kind of "all-digital-global-centralbank-bootleg-bitcoin" currency so you cant pay for a chewing gum (or gold) without being registered and controlled.
Cash is "dirty", "feeds corruption/crime" etc. You can see this already with how they slowly take away the biggest bank notes for flimsy reasons
ie. 500€ notes a few years ago and the
USD Notes above the $100 denomination stopped being printed in 1946 and were officially withdrawn from circulation in 1969. These notes were used primarily in inter-bank transactions or by organized crime; it was the latter usage that prompted President Richard Nixon to issue an executive order in 1969 halting their use).
There is no reason to assume that the USD or Euro or whatever will be that new digital currency. I for one think they will end both (because of the "3Cs" Covid-ClimateChange-Crime) to make some kinda shitty centralized crypto nightmare, powered by the ECB and FED. That will be what the chineese will be up against. Not the already dead-man-walking USD.

Right now, i think the ones doing most of the "killing" of the dollar itself should be Russia with their currency shitflinging, and the US-Goverment/FED by just doing what they always do.
but only time will tell if thats actually enough to finish off this poor and abused currency.
I doubt it.
The western/global financial system would never just let something like their dollar go down and take away their control in the process.
If you ask me, then the U$Dollar (and €uro for that matter) will not fail but be replaced by something worse, that will make us all wish we still used good old "real money".

Covid was a multiplier, but its worth remembering that outside of china's draconian lockdowns, most cities and ports stayed operational. These people were all flagged as essential to profits and allowed to continue. The fact that a single city or country shuttering temporarily could permanently cripple the global economy for years shows that it was not a matter of if Globalization of supply chains would fail, but when. Covid was just the lucky lottery winner on showing the weakness that already existed.
I'll be honest, I don't even know why these ships are waiting in port anywhere. If it's truckers then couldn't someone, somewhere just Pau the truckers a bonus?

As I understand it from the outside, a lot of shipping is contract-capacity based often negotiated in long term contracts. There's no money for these bonuses because costs are through the roof and the contract is already inked.

As for the independent shippers who do on-demand orders and supply, they have no incentive to actually fix the issue. They get to charge higher rates and pay their people the same amount for the same amount of work. While this will slowly trend back down to normal as they marginally undercut each other for business, this will be a slow process for a return to normal, and may never manifest if outflow of truckers from the industry continues as it has been.

Couldn't Uncle Sam or some other governmental body put up a program?

UK hit with more fuel shortages as drivers start to queue in search of petrol and diesel

The most recent shortage seems to be caused by climate protesters blocking major fuel depots. This in turn is exacerbating existing supply issues due to increased demand post-Covid lockdowns and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Due to climate change faggots of all things

God I want to shove those faggots into a shredder and turn them into mulch. It'll be the most good use anyone has gotten out of such an idiotic bunch.

On the plus side truck driven terrorist attacks are down.

Today's price bitching -

I usually get Lyric Sunflower Kernels for the freeloading birds and squirrels that live around here. I frowned slightly last time when the price went from fortysomething to fiftysomething for a 25 lb bag, but when I went to get more and the price was
$73.99
I decided that it's time the local wildlife go out and get jobs. At least until I can find a better price on their food.
I found out a couple of days ago Ukraine exports 30% of the world supply of sunflowers. Don't expect that price to come down anytime soon.
