She’s so fucking dumb, he didn’t have a mental breakdown.
That’s a very deceptive term for what happened.
He went into psychosis, either home grown or drug induced and lost his shit.

And therapy? Lol schizophrenia isn’t something that’s treated primarily with therapy. Therapy sure doesn’t hurt but therapy is a bandaid over a bullet hole for someone like Dalton.
He needs genuine and serious help involving medication and maybe more radical treatments.

Sure he hasn’t done it again, wait though Kim.
Wait until he’s having a bad mental health day and is dangerously irritable and has been drinking (only drinking I hope) beer all day.
Kim is the poster child for why society blames the victim in domestic violence cases.

Hey, I was right. He's having an Act 3 hearing. The thing is, he isn't getting let out if he's found unable to stand trial. He's just going to get set to a state hospital till they decide he is. There's no world where the violent methhead schizo gets let out because he's too crazy for trial.

Still the weirdest fucking thing that they just put the fetus in a bag and handed it to her? I have never heard of that happening ever, even temporarily for pictures.
I dont know, I mean if you miscarry at home I get why youd have it I'm surprised the hospital let her keep it. Usually its medical waste? I have never miscarried so idk just heard stories about hospital ones.

She says theyll induce her at 30 weeks. The baby will definitely be in the NICU a while, tax payer funded.

The mismatch between Kim’s face and the skin on the rest of her body (which I wish I could unsee) is bizarre. She’s way too lazy to wear makeup so I don’t think it’s too-pale, pink-toned foundation.

ETA: Sarge injured, still gross with the smoking. Puke. Lol at “luxury” rubbing alcohol. Why does he wear one of those silicone wedding rings?

I seem to remember Sarge getting one of those ‘promise rings for Jesus’ during one of his religious fits but I can’t find it in the thread - maybe I’m having a Dalton-style schizo episode.

We have put miscarried foeti in tiny baskets for photos before (if the parents want to) before doing footprints for them to take home. That little one looks only just viable for pics tbh. They wouldn’t be able to take it home, nor has anyone ever wanted to.

That bottom comment too. Looks like she’s getting a second hand car seat that’s probably expired. Perfect for a preemie.
The daily moral dilemmas that would keep me up each night working the medicaid-adjacent ob/gyn clinic in Arkansas. I couldn't do it.
I’m not in Arkansas (thankfully!) but l&d and postnatal is never dull. I think my favourite was two women having a fight because the same guy turned out to be the father of both of their babies and they only found out on the postnatal ward. In typical redneck style they only went for each other, not the guy.

It’s also heartbreaking too: women that you’re pretty sure are being abused or trafficked, women who are hiding their HIV status from their partner and you can’t tell them (referred to police), social services taking babies straight from the ward, having to ban partners from visiting because they’re sex offenders or violent, a woman with learning disabilities whose partner had given her genital warts…

Oh damn…I’m going to estimate that NICU stay is going to cost the tax payers close to 500k, maybe even more. Things must be extremely bad for them to feel an induction ten weeks early is safer than leaving the baby in. What is irritating is Kim never elaborates on shit like that. Like WHY, what’s exactly wrong with the baby or your uterus?

Of course she is getting a secondhand car seat that was probably secondhand to the other person. I’m all for getting things lightly used just not a car seat.

Would be hard dealing with miscarriage and stillbirth, but I'm sure l&d get crazy ass stories working there.

As if she pays a scintilla of attention to what they tell her. She’s probably sticking her tongue out and taking selfies even during the consults.

These people really don’t think things through.

A jail or prison sentence is what it is and there’s a release date somewhere of when they’re getting out.

There is nothing whatsoever about a release date from a state hospital and they can keep someone there indefinitely if their mental health doesn’t improve.

Knew a crazy asshole once upon a time that intentionally was violent in a psych ward so he would get transferred to jail, because he said he had more privileges there and at least then he knew when he was getting out.

That was a DIFFERENT violent schizophrenic methhead though, because Dalton has many brethren.
Dalton would be more likely to do the Thorazine shuffle around the floor in a state hospital than hurt another patient or staff member.

‘Me to when can I get that car seat cause there inducing me at 30 weeks’
Yeah Kim I don’t think you need to worry about getting that car seat any time soon.
I’m assuming Aiden was in the nicu by the looks of him? Kim doesn’t seem to register the significance of ANY of this.
I wonder how many unmarried births in Arkansas or any state really end up in nicu?

To be fair (not that Dalton deserves my fairness), it's likely his public defender pulling for a competency hearing, not Dalton by himself. It's pretty common when dealing with crazy/drugged-out trash people like Dalton. If his lawyer suspects he might be too crazy to understand the legal proceedings at the time, the lawyer is pretty obligated to do it, and judges take it seriously cuz the Constitution. It's not always the defendant themselves thinking it's going to make things easier for them. Funnily, a lot of the real crazies actually fight against having it done.

Anyways, the standard for competency is extremely low, so it's not going to really help him in the long run anyhow, because like you said, it really just delays things.
