He was very obviously assuming the guy knew who he was already, and waited for him to do the lifting - “omg, philosophy tube, can you believe it, bla bla tell us about the hermetics of cheese Have you got any messages about trans powah ?” basically- and then missed the exit for doing it himself without it being clunky . You can tell, just when he gauzes before and after “Abigail, Thorn..” You see him realise he’s dropped it when there’s no recognition.

Probably why he’s so quiet too, calculating how there’s a way to win back the situation without looking like a babbling narcissist, but there clearly aint.

There was some discussion earlier about him being able to afford to buy a house. I'm not convinced. If he could, why hasn't he done so already? Surely he must want a creepy troon castle just like Contra has?

How much info do we have on the state of his finances? If @Ninon42 's calculations are correct, then it's kind of terrifying how much he makes, but then again something just doesn't add up. He doesn't seem to be living an opulent lifestyle. He rents (shares?) a flat. He lives in the more upmarket part of East London, so not cheap, but it's not as pricey as other parts of London. He wears frumpy tat he buys off the Internet. He admitted that he couldn't afford to get a Versace sweater for Contra and had to ask for it back - I bet it was absurdly overpriced, but it wouldn't break the bank if he's earning 30k a month. His FFS turned out to be very minimal, which might just be out of restraint on his part, but it would also have been a fraction of the price of a full FFS procedure. Does he have some massive debt we don't know about? Are the overheads on his pretentious videos just too high?
