Spoiler: Sperging about events in an MMO 15+ years ago

In the spaceship MMO EVE Online there was a player from Goonfleet(Something Awful members) who went by 'Firstname Lastname'. He's infamous in the EVE Community for starting an autistic spaceship war between the Goons and Band of Brothers(Devs and friends of devs) after joke about a BoB member who died in a motorcycle accident on the Autobahn.

Firstname Lastname went to the biggest trade hub in the game, ejected a cargo canister, named it after the player who died, and crashed into it over and over with a ship renamed to "Semi-Truck". This caused BoB to flip out and go to war with the Goons in an autistic conflict that would involve thousands of players. This story did make it outside of the confines of EVE Online when it happened as video game news sites picked it up.

Whenever I see the name of Fat's character I always think of this event and feel like there's too much commonality to just be a coincidence. Though I suppose the more likely outcome is Patrick thinks his character that has what amounts to a screenname is extremely clever and totally original.

I don't think writing even good Sci-Fi, which is made up, qualifies you to talk about actual engineering and sciences. Nor determine what is limited "only by budgets" as if this isn't everything.
