In this mornings episode of Ukrainians lie about absolutely everything. The corpses of 1500 Russian soldiers are claimed to be at the morgue in Dnipro. The BBC is almost exclusively relying on the map from ISW as far as Russian troop presence/movement, let’s take a look.

Red circle is where Dnipro is, around 50 miles beyond the claimed Russian front line. In their infinite generosity, are the Ukrainians using their very finite resources to drive around the countryside collecting dead Russians? There was an incident with a tank shooting point blank at a group of soldiers. You will have to go back a bit but not by much. At least for me that was what left the biggest impression.
Other than that, Mariupol is under Russian control except for the massive Azovstal metalworks. And no major offensive operations from both sides.

I did catch that one, actually. A couple of perspectives of the same event. It certainly seemed like a friendly fire incident, either through incompetence, or an ND (Though why are you pointing the fucking barrel at your own troops to begin with?). The Ukie soldiers clearly saw the tank, and were unconcerned, so clearly they thought it was friendly. The tank commander was unbuttoned and looking straight at the Hohols, so clearly he thought he wasn't in any danger...

Did the gunner panic, or accidentally pull the string/push the button/squeeze the trigger (Or whatever mechanism is used to fire a shell in that sort of tank)?

God, there's STILL resistance in Mauripol? I suppose at least the fighting in the civilian-occupied areas is over, I wonder how long it will take to mop up Azovstal?
