Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

I liked how CoD Ghosts would allow you to create your own team for a 1 vs 1 + bots. It's a shame that people didn't play the squad mode. Extinction was cool but it never felt like you were on a team. People would just run everywhere to look for intels and die. If you add the lack of dedicated servers, the whole thing was unplayable.

I remember the Squads mode. Ghosts' PvP AI is actually initiative to player behavior. I would see them drop shot, camp, storage, even quick scope. I was actually impressed.

I think Ghosts had some great setpieces, like the mission where you walk down the side of a skyscraper or deal with a flooded city.

From little I played of it, I thought Invasion was neat. I missed when COD was more unique with its modes instead of endless Zombies.

Maybe I was just weird, but I always thought the huge switch to Russia for MW2 and 3 came a bit too quickly and was just an excuse to have their own World War III.
also the backlash from killing brown people. again game journalists were faggots even back then. the plot doesn't make too much sense either, we literally just learned Russia got couped by ultra nationalists in the last game, and they even set off a nuke. now they have all the soldiers fighting for them.
That's every cod game isn't it? You maybe get footsteps as quiet as a mouse fart and then perks to undermine that like dead silence so the console couch players can get free kills without using a headset.
not as many people use the silent perks as you'd think. its much easier to hear in warzone, probs because the maps are so huge you can hear when someone enters the same building as you or is walking around it. it would be a waste to use on MP maps because they're too small. no need to hear them when the constant UAVs and your own eyes will catch these people before the footsteps register.

You know, when Modern Warfare 2019 game out, many decried it for how it portrayed the Russian villains, saying that it was too over-the-top, that they'd never do the atrocities shown, and it was a way for the writers to deflect blame from the U.S. over to Russia (like naming a mission the Highway Of Death and making it a Russian war crime, when it in fact was the Americans that did it in real life.)

Wonder what some of them are thinking now, given current events.
I still think MW2019's plot plays like State Department Anti-Syrian Propaganda: The Game.

The pace of the multiplayer was about on par with MW3. It was hardly the campiest COD. TTK was still slower than the Stopping Power-era games, and you had significant more mobility than any of the games prior to Ghosts. Some people had just gotten used to the game becoming more and more like Unreal Tournament with every release and didn't want it to go back to feeling like classic COD, I guess.

Why everything I play, I get gunned down around corners?

Does anyone else do the Han Solo strat in Vanguard just for fun? That's like the only thing keeping me even remotely interested in Vanguard.

So does chat just suck if you're playing cross play, or do my friends just have shit mics?
I think with crossplay you can tell who's on a console because the console players have shitty mic quality and the PC players sound better.

Is that modding the machine pistol?

Because it plays like every 360-era COD. Literally the first thing I had to learn when coming from Quake III/UT to COD was to stop barreling blindly around corners like a retard.
The 200 IQ strat (that I learned from my CS days) is to prefire corners. So many people will walk right into your bullets in COD and get pissed about it.

In retrospective, CoD: WWII wasn't THAT bad a CoD. It's by the numbers, but it had a decent brotherhood theme with its campaign.

Of course, I love the German announcer and Black female Nazi cosplay. So bad, it's good. If that makes any sense.

But being a retard is fun in COD
Go knife only in gun game.

I remember using a sniper AS intended in MW2-MW3 would have quickscopers go ape shit. Hold your breath to steady your aim, snipe, rage.

Quickscoping is when you use the game's liberal auto aim assist to quickly zoom in and out of a sniper to obtain a kill. Now I sound old.

This franchise is fucked. :stress:

Stop letting these retards work on COD holy shit. They clearly have no idea what they're doing and Vanguard was the worst selling COD in fucking ages.
