Funny how people didn't give a shit about Douglas' creepy behaviour until he grew some balls and stood up for Flynn. And even then, it was less about him being a perv and more about him defending Flynn.
That's entirely it. DC has done some awful shit but I'm glad he stood up for Flynn.
Small gaming con called Salt Fest, had some decent tournaments for the size of the convention and DC and Quinton were the main guests.
So here's the thing about Utah conventions before 2014. They were basically staffed and run by the same group of people who did Nan Desu Kan in Denver, CO and Anime Oasis in Boise, ID. NDK was mentioned in Weeb Wars before by someone accusing Vic I think? Someone said something about the elevators. Anyway, point is these are all the same people attending and staffing these cons. Sound familiar? Why this is important will come into play later.
It was what you'd expect for a small town gaming con held at a university. Because it wasn't a large event the guests were rubbing shoulders with the attendees and everyone hung out. DC had advertised his 18+ panel all over social media as part of the final night of the convention.
The room was full but there was stuff going on elsewhere in the con. So at the beginning of the panel DC put emphasis on not recording what was being said or filming but he filmed himself and Quinton on the panel. The majority of it was led by DC, reading fanfics and making sexual comments all the way through. He was sitting in some guy's lap at one point.
Anyway, two costhots interrupted the panel. They both are very good friends with the con organizer. One of the thots is a findom chick, and she goes back and forth with DC about prostitution and "leaving her an envelope with cash marked as a gift." Now they're getting cozy with DC and then it goes from banter to both chicks offended. Now they're beefing. Quinton and the rest of the room are just ???? Confused. But these two get their beastie con organizer involved.
The con was essentially over so it wasn't like there was much that could be done. But anyway the costhots beefed with DC on social media the next day and into the next week. I went looking for it all before DC's account got nuked but couldn't find it. I went through the convention videos and interviews and a majority of the media was scrubbed.
However, there is video evidence of what went down. DC and possibly Quinton have it. Don't know if it'll ever see the light of day though.
