General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

And I keep on having to hide clip channels because of this. Got recommended Cooksie (mostly clips vshitshow) and two official vshitshow channels today.
YouTube is kinder to me, I usually get the guys that clip cute noises or that one Ina clipper who gets every moment of her dorky goodness, complete with special effects and the like. They're good, but the second I check out some chuuba clips off my account it becomes VShojo hell with Nyanners singing about masturbation and the like. I'm no puritan, but I'm in for the cute moments, the funny moments, not to see some cheap sexual innuendos. VShojo is like the adult cartoons where they can't move beyond shock value with gore, sex and gross humor. Like a restaurant where the food sucks so they make up for it by tossing the whole box of spices on the plate, making it all burn, no flavour!

To this day, I still consider Gura as one of the best VTuber design in terms of marketability and recognizability. You can change it to anything but you can still know it's Gura. And Sen's skill and personality also helped in shaping that Gura identity
Hololive as a whole has some stellar designs. Gura is one of the best, Korone is also amazing, a single look at her and you get the warmth and the cuteness right off the bat. Pekora has the same energy, with those crazy cartoon vibes on her character. Amelia is great (there is no Smol Ame without Amelia, after all) and so is Ina, too!

Shubaru is peculiar, the girl behind the character gives it a lot of life. Would be an average design otherwise, but she just has that energy that is larger than life, her bombastic way of throwing a show!

Yep. Her design is so simple and legible it's almost a logo, and her concept is one concept, not "time-traveling detective" or even "titty clock." Shark is so strong, anyone Holo might hire would do well with it, but the real girl is exceptionally good at the job, too.
She has perfect synergy with the character. Her voice, her attitude, she was born to be a bratty, short girl with a motor mouth. Looks like a cartoon character coming to live on-screen!

It's her vibe, mostly. It's so in-tune with what people expect from the character that it fits perfectly, doesn't take away from the other girls, but it's rare enough. Korone is another example of this, even her mannerisms are in line with the cute, energic puppy she is!

Space Bimbo playing Edgy the Hedgey again. Out of all the Sanic games she could have played, this is her first game.....part 2 of it anyway.
Aaaand she accidentally wiped the save file and has to start from the beginning. Except it turned out she didn't.

Also she's using an emulator and the PS4 controller she had set up doesn't want to play ball today so now it's a Genshin stream. Oops.

If you're reading this, I would too.jpg
Which one of you was this?

I am scratching my head at the jump from CyberLive to PC tbh; not that I have any idea what either company offers or internal stuff, of course.

In my mind, jumping from a startup company to a slightly bigger startup company is just strange. The small EN companies all have a sense of comararderie so this is one hell of a wedge to drive into that sphere.

I have no strong opinions, I just don't understand it at all.

Me neither. Probably why the "Sakana is taking over the indie market" rrat started. My first thought was that Lumi just really wanted to be closer to Pippa, but I'm absolutely ignorant about it.

From the video title and thumbnail I was expecting a reference to The Man Who Laughs. Same energy, basically.

Double blasphemy. Looks like she's giving up and going to do Genshin instead. Somehow I doubt there's a league of hardcore Shadow fans who are going to quit watching.

Pippa's waiting room is up, with the title "HYPED ABOUT LATEST HAPPENINGS." Might be fun to see what her take is. Autism Cubes is in the "now playing" slot.

EDIT: Not sure if this pinned comment has anything to do with us. Didn't seem obvious from chat context around the point of that message.

Maybe CyberLive management just sucks?
