I have to admit I'm a bit bummed, because Stumpy aka Silent_Insanity_ gave us some of the most delicious milk in this entire thread. Depends on the detransitioner. I posted a doc into the general thread with two detrans women who had their breasts cut of and did enough T to masculinize their voices and looks. They are bummed about the voice but don't seem to want breast reconstruction.

That being said, a certain amount of people who do plastic surgery of any kind become addicted, a certain amount of people who have an encounter with sickness become munchies... It seems likely that transitioning also carry that risk, the risk of getting addicted to the surgeries, or to the attention... maybe there's something of that in that individual. She likes having surgeries, she likes being cared for in a hospital... It sets goalposts... If she had to stop getting stuff done and let her meatsack alone for a minute she wouldn't know how to project herself into the future.
What do you know?! The reason to gatekeep those procedures keep piling on....

PS, i think the kerfuffle earlier in the thread between "old users" and "newbies" was retarded. I've got a terrible, overwhelming fear of needles. Its irrational, it defies logic and reason. It affects my health. It's a phobia. A phobia is a condition. Its real.

I am not "transphobic". There is no meaningful "transition". It isn't real. I'm also not Muhammadphobic, or Santaphobic. These are all outrageous claims with no evidence to back them up.

Feel free to go along with any of these things, no matter which flavor of nonsense you choose, but people may respond to that unfavorably. "Trans" is not real. Crimes are being committed against minors. Playing along, big or small, is collaboration. Again, you are absolutely entitled to do so, but expect pushback, particularly when you appropriate medical terminology.

Nobody is trans "phobic". Men who kill troons often do so because they've been tricked into performing a gay act, and their horror at that is so powerful that they fly into a rage. Stumpy is an addict, who has already planned out thousands of dollars in surgeries. Stumpy has not had a breakthrough of any kind. Having a frankenwiener sewed on to you when you actively want it removed has to be traumatizing. She is no longer deluded into thinking its normal or acceptable so it is just an abomination that she has to wait to get removed. Every time she pees, every time she gets dressed, every time she showers, she has to stare down the thing. I wouldn't be surprised if she has nightmares for the rest of her life about this. It will also severely restrict, if not ruin, her ability to date anyone. The surgeries almost never deliver "satisfactory" results, so opening them up to malpractice suits would bankrupt them overnight. While we're at it, suing practices that prescribe cross sex hormones would also put a good dent in mainstream troonery.

Still, it's impressive how much blood and medical expertise is wasted on trying to keep these idiots alive when their latest attempt at flaying their arm off goes wrong. I admire detransitioners who try to accept their body as they are and if they get any surgery, it is solely for practical function (real function like reconfiguring amhole to nullo for hygiene, not some psychological bs) and accept that they made the decision in they first place and never go "nawt muh fawlt!" ... in fact I've known these types but since people who can accept themselves don't like spotlight... We're not seeing them on social media much.

Of course, doctors, TRA, pharma lobbyists are also at fault and they should be called out. But having surgery-addict munchies with no accountability on twitter is a double edged sword. One one hand it made this plight known in public, on other... I don't think only "more reasonable voices" will follow as you mention... Dildos also don't try to force open a space in the pelvic cavity that was never meant to exist in the first place. The thing about the vagina is that it's not just ever tightening scar tissue over muscles pulling the wrong way. I actually don't even have a good understanding of what happens to the muscles in the region when SRS happens, but I can't imagine they don't get quite damaged, so it must be torture forcing that tissue apart along a fault line produced by surgery.
