The cry sigh at 4 seconds in killed me.
I like the part where he says that when he sets the tips goal, he does it for a reason. As in, it IS expected.
Also, you notice how he almost always emphasizes "if you CAN"? Not sure if he sees this, but he's implying that the only reason you wouldn't contribute is if you didn't have the money. Makes sense, because he also points out that he has 44 likes while 200 people are watching, saying that the stream can definitely hit 100 likes, based entirely on there being enough viewers. And completely ignoring any other factors, like, how many of those viewers don't actually like him, and/or don't actually want to give a thumbs up to that particular stream.
I wonder if his paypigs are due for a dressing down today because 'support' can't just be from one or two peepul.
I'm having fun OK, but I need a buy in from the silent majority, so it'd be reeeeally nice if other peepul could star 'con'tributing as well OK ? and thank you in advance
There is also Phil's emotional need to be told by his audience that they approve of him continuing to be the same person forever. He has basically outright stated this, though seemingly without realizing it. By being supported by only two people consistently, Phil isn't getting the green light from everyone, like he wants. It's sort of like if your parents tell you to stay the course, and everybody else is either silent or expressing disagreements, and you're weak enough for that to trigger the fuck out of you. It's his insecurity, he'll never be satisfied from having a small hugbox to operate in and be floated by a couple of retards.
He definitely doesn't see the implications and problems of him being this way, because he's handing viewers another way to make him dance for their amusement. They get off on hearing him beg for tips, well now they can make him beg for likes, as well as any other form of approval he desperately needs. All the while, continuing to prove the detractor community right and keeping himself exactly where he is, forever.
