The entire time he was dating, and then engaged to, June was just "living alone". He always had the ability to make himself physically present in her life, but chose not to. It's truly incredible to me that June simped so fucking hard for this man-child that put zero effort into making their relationship concrete and meaningful. He cares so little about her dignity that he acts like she never existed.

But stepping back and trying to read it like a normie with out knowing back stories, Greg sounds pretty lonely. I would never bash anyone for wanting to share a place with a partner, or wanting someone else. Just the wording on this seems like he's aware enough to look around his toy laden apartment and feel like there's more to life. Frankly, I'd say for him that's a step in the right direction.

I don't dislike Greg as much as Shoe, but he is fooling himself if he thinks he has a chance to form an stable relationship. He's just incapable of doing so. He likes having a female partner, but he enjoys not being committed more.
That's perhaps what he liked the most about his relationship with Shoe. Living with someone not only implies a social commitment to this person, but a set of personal rules for both to follow and with Shoe in another country, he was free to do whatever he wanted. I'm sure Greg liked whenever Shoe visited him and both play pretend, but once he realised they were meant to play that game forever for real, he said bye.
Remember when Shoe lived with them for some time and she said she was happy sleeping all day and being awake at night? I'm sure that's Greg telling her to follow HIS routine because that's what Greg does on his own. No way Greg would keep living under his own rules if he moved to another country and had to live with someone with her own life and habits.

I’m laughing at the baked sprinkles. You apply a light coating of butter or oil to get them to stick AFTER the bread is baked. I’m a god damn middle aged man and I know this. You never bake sprinkles unless you’re specifically going for the “patches of mold” look.
