I actually read Manhunt, the entire book, in just one evening out of morbid curiosity. Thought about making a thread or post on here about it, something like a sporking (god, remember those?) but honestly there's just not a lot of substance. The prose is bad, the plot is bad, the characters are unlikable and the author's fetishes are obvious. Ignoring all the annoying trans stuff, it's just not an engaging story because there's no reason to care about anything when the world is so dark and there isn't a single character you don't loathe after a few pages with them.

It's basically just an entire novel of misogynistic shock value. It's incredibly blatant the guy who wrote it has serious problems with women - him talking about his rape fetish on twitter aside, it's something you just pick up reading it with how he depicts women (actual natal ones, not the tranny leads). And yes, he does indulge his own rape fetish in the book, with someone getting graphically raped by a zombie with a barbed penis. This is described in extended detail and goes on way too long.

For the reason they eat the zombie's testicles to keep from turning into zombies themselves, it's because testicles produce estrogen and the virus affecting you is based on estrogen level.
