I suspect that's how the Russian government and a lot of Russians see it. Though Ukraine understandably doesn't see it the same way.

Since there's no way to verify or refute these claims then let's not speculate, since there's no basis for doing so.

True, there's not much point in speculating on this issue given the lack of information on the subject at the moment. Still, it's useful to know that Ukraine is making the claim, and that while they may be making a mountain of a molehill, the claim does have some basis in something that's happening in reality. With part of the difference being more a matter of point of view on the subject.

This is pretty much the exact same number of Ukrainian KIA as the U.S. estimated there was more than a month ago. So not exactly a very reliable figure, although the 10,000 injured is more believable.

If they are going to lie about casualty numbers, they could at least make it somewhat believable. It's really hard to imagine the Ukrainians have been killing Russians at 7 to 1 ratio.

Considering that as of March 25th Russia was claiming 1,351 killed, and 3,825 wounded, while having inflicted 14,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed and 16,000 wounded; Ukraine's not particularly worse than Russia here.

I think the whole point of this is to claim that Russia killed civis and not military personal.
There is a lot of claims from Ukraine that so many people volunteer to fight, they basically run out of weapons to give (so there are man who are fighting and those who do not).
Put two and two together and you can interchange combatant with civilian if nobody filmed the death (you can't really hide death of military personal that was already active before the war, though).
Also, it's a laughable claim by Ukrainian MoD, because in Mariupol' alone there is no less then 5k troops of Ukrainian armed forces (claims varies from 7k to 15k, but i going to be ultra conservative with the numbers, because everything in this war is hyper inflated).

I would agree that the Russian numbers are also most likely exaggerated but Russia is the greater military power, so I would say it's a bit more egregious and unbelievable when the Ukrainians are doing it as the underdog.

It makes me sad to read this. Joe fucking biden is not the United States. (I know you aren't saying this.) My patriotism stems from my love of country, not politicians. They all deserve free helicopter rides but i will never wish for an invading army. We have the power to end this ourselves, through the ballot box or through revolt if necessary. We just need to accept that we have a lot of hard work ahead, check back into what our politicians are doing and stop waiting for captain save a ho to appear and do it for us.

It won't come to revolution though, the current politicians will take their money and run if the shit were ever about to hit the fan.
