Dear God I pray musk just shut off twitter
Anahd is especially frustrating becuase he is like two steps away from understanding the bigger picture. Yes, Anahd we don't want people to control that much influence, and people with money are always given the bigger microphone. But what Elon bought doesn't hold a candle to the influence individuals like Zuckerberg or Bezos, or companies like Warnermedia, alphabet, and News Corp has on information.

Talking about "hate speech" from Twitter users is quite rich given their "rules for thee, but not for me" mindset and the cesspool of garbage that they Tweet. I agree Twitter needs to go, but then, where would these freaks migrate too?

Off topic, but I just saw a Tweet (albeit 2 years old), where some skrong non-binary kween was airing out their grievances with Spongebob. Apparently Squidward's house being modelled after the Moai heads of Easter Island and Spongebob's house being a pineapple is problematic because it uses 1950s American "colonial/tropical" aesthetics. IDK what that's suppose to mean, but the user in question is a grown woman with children, arguing over a cartoon sponge.

Have either of these people tried simply starting their own Twitter where free speech isn't allowed? I don't understand the complaint.
Of course they don't.
But they throw it at everyone that think differently.
They're incapable to do it but laugh at those thinking outside of their bubble, asking them to do it so they can plague it in order to spite them.

If we're burning down twitter, we should hit imgur while we're at it.

And comments on that piece?

To quote Steve Harvey, "There’s something wrong with you but I don't got time to fix it.

Somebody mentioned that if Twitter goes, they'll just migrate somewhere else.

I propose a middle group: have Twitter go back to its origin and equally moderate without political interference. Within reason. If they don't like it, watch them throw fits and maybe they'll make their own site.

I used to enjoy making up hidden meanings in films and TV - like rambling about how the Super Mario Brothers movie was actually a piece of subversive art that at it's core was around communist rhetoric, distorting a mass-media product into a dystopian piece of satire that firmly had an anti-captialist message behind it. Or how The Wizard of Oz was actually about America's growing role in the world, World War 1, the decline of the British Empire and instability across Europe. Or how Flash Gordon is really just a re-telling of the life of Jesus Christ ("Saviour of the Universe / He'll save every one of us / King of the impossible"). And so on.

Difference is, I knew full well what I was saying was retarded. People these days suck the fun out of everything.

The more that I look at a video game company like Blizzard trying to appeal to “female gamers” in this context, the more you start to realize that things like this go against the standard of video gaming in a nutshell.

Gaming can be for everyone, but it does not deserve to be shoehorned or pandered to in a way that almost looks to be condescending in nature.

Just my two cents on this matter. I’m just going by how I remembered when the PS1 version of Tomb Raider came out, while also remembering some women (and men, to an extent) getting upset at showing the differences of polygons of how Lara Croft looked over the years:

Where's the positive representation for big titty women? This stylistic choice only serves to perpetuate the idea that big boobs = hypersexalized.
I'm not surprised at all that elective masectomies and reductions are becoming more common in teenagers.

Adoption is a "baby trade?" Oh god, is she one of those people who thinks that a white couple adopting say, an abused child from Kenya is somehow *colonizing* the child and that they'd be better off with Kenyans even if those Kenyans couldn't afford to feed them? Seems like the type. Reminds me of that book and show Little Fires Everywhere where they had that whole debate over who the child's "real mother" was even though her real mother abandoned her. It was a sad story but it was pretty fucked.

This lady is nuts

ChemicalAlia's female Heavy owns though

Fuck yeah it does.

Stuff like Correct the Record and ShareBlue.
CTR was fairly amazing in action if you remember when they were brazenly active on /pol/

They were literally every single thing /pol/ had said about astroturfing and propaganda and boy they were gleeful at having all their worst attributions of motives to the enemy proven in real time, like a much longer-term version of when JIDF literally showed up and trolled the site.

That's actually when I quit trolling /pol/ not because I had anything to feel guilty about but if these assholes were actually being paid to post this dumb shit I was not going to help them in any way for fucking FREE. I forget the actual numbers but I looked into what they paid out of idle curiosity and it was Chinese gold farmer bullshit level stuff, nowhere remotely enough for me to contemplate putting aside my loathing of Hillary.

Musk is a slightly sociopathic asshole and his actions are almost entirely self-serving. However, he's a rational actor, of sorts, when he isn't on some weird vendetta boner thing. He wants shit that is in his interest, and unlike the two others you listed and the corporations, his agenda does not involve personally fucking up my life. And it sometimes involves cool gadgets.

It's SO fucked up how people who are supposedly all for supporting women and all body types have absolutely demonized large breasts. They'll say the most fucked up, sexist, and slutshame-y shit about any female character with a cup size larger than a B- I've seen slut, blow-up doll, peice of meat, fap fantasy, and the ever-famous fighting fucktoy directed at any female character who possesses even slightly large breasts.. It's literally no better than the perverts out there who think that a woman having big tits suddenly makes it okay to act like creeps or say weird sexual shit to her.

While I'm not particularly busty so I've never been affected by the stuff they say, I have several friends who are and one has told me about how that sort of language always gets her down and how she one day realized that if they say this about fake women, she was terrified to think of what they must think about real women with those traits. Another one of them has kind of internalized a lot of the fucked up stuff people say about large chested women- both real and fictional- and constantly wears baggy/loose clothing to draw as little attention as possible to her chest. She even bought a binder when she was fourteen (!!!!) because she was so uncomfortable with how people sexualized her, though she ended up giving that one up pretty quickly after realizing just how uncomfortable binders are lmfao. I've been trying to help her overcome a lot of the stuff she's internalized but it's hard to do that when she's been bombarded since puberty about how women with big breasts are inherently sexual beings who have little worth other than as a peice of meat.

Also, in that set of videos you posted, I'd bet money that that first girl got the reduction less due to sexualization and more due to the fact that breasts that are that big and that sag like that are absolute hell on a woman's back and make finding clothing that actually fits an absolute nightmare. I have another friend who was legitimately an F cup and her boobs were constantly making her back ache horribly and throwing off her balance, and made buying clothes that were cute and that actually fit her chest practically impossible. She ended up getting reduced down to a B and her back hasn't hurt her once since and she has a much easier time keeping her balance. (it's also been much easier finding clothing, which she's very happy over lol) She and the girl in the first vid were about the same size so I don't doubt that that specific girl did it for medical reasons. However, the other two girls (especially the third one) absolutely didn't need to get those reductions and I feel so sorry that they ended up internalizing all of society's fucked up messaging about their bodies.

Your friend already got a reduction, but for anyone reading this thread in the future with the same back issues: Weightlifting is a godsend. Shell out for a session with a PT or personal trainer if you can.
Surgery should be a final resort, not a standard treatment.
