It is fascinating to think that right now, the USA has devised a plan; likely in coordination with allies about what the response will be should Putin launch a small tactical nuclear weapon into the Ukraine.

I think it is very remote; but not zero. There are so many variables in the response it is a fascinating thought process. I'd love to be a fly on the wall as they war-game this through to the end result.

I also wonder if in Russia those that actually have control over the weapons have also war-gamed it too should they get the instruction from Putin to launch and what they will do also.

I think all the fearmongering over use of nuclear weapons is simply western way of painting Russia as completely unhinged.
In Russia itself there is more popular will to drop nukes on US itself or their vassals for supporting Ukraine, rather than on Ukraine. Plus, you going to deal with radiation from the nuke if you drop it on Kiev.

The US is increasing, not decreasing the noise re: threatening countries who aren't onboard with sanctions against Russia, the British admit the SAS is in Ukraine (ostensibly to train Uke soldiers) and NATO members are sending more materiel to Ukraine; thus, Russia, as well as Russians, believe that NATO is in a de facto war against it, so basically WW3 has begun. The Moskva is almost irrelevant at this point.

This is dangerous, not just for Russia/Ukraine but because Russia sees this as an existential threat to itself as a nation, to its peoples and its culture, When a country feels it has nothing to lose and has to make a last stand, something Russia is very familiar with, it is not going to end well. With nukes in the equation its guaranteed to be bad, maybe even fatal.

It's not that i do believe that there is no Russia supporting Ukrainians, but as a matter of war they are nonexistent, because anywhere they may be, be it Odessa, Har'kov, Mariupol' or any other notable city within Novorossiya, there is always some kind of a goon from Aidar or Azov(or any ultranationalist Ukrainian militants) on top of the administration that will order to shoot anybody who will show any kind of pro-Russian sentiment or try to surrender.

Well that's the original point. The children who are being adopted into Russia likely don't have a Ukranian identity. The fact that there are ultranationalist militant goons prevalent throughout Ukraine willing to shoot anybody trying to show pro-Russian sentiment is only further proof that these children are better off being raised in Russia versus in Ukraine.
