Prebuilts usually skimp on the parts they can get away with skimping on for maximum profitability, like power supplies, fans, cases, etc.. This sometimes leaves an inadequate PSU powering a heavy duty setup that ends up shutting down or being unstable for lack of quality power. Easy to diagnose if you know what you are doing...but aside from Botan and maybe Amelia, I don't think any of them knows a damned thing about computers.

Other problem is that 99% of the time, they are using nVidia 3XXX series cards, which run seriously hot and are power pigs. The nVidia Founder's Edition cards especially have really cheap crap thermal pads on the memory, causing throttling and overheating (I have a Founder's Edition nVidia 3090 that needs to have a thermal pad upgrade, but I'm too lazy to get around to it. GPU Memory and GPU hotspot temperatures can exceed 110 degrees Celsius on really tough games, which is absolutely absurd). My EVGA 3080 is taking up the slack for the time being, and it hits memory temps of up to 96C. Higher than I like, but tolerable. Now add a top tier processor to the mix, and things start to get really damned hot. I doubt any of them even know about temperatures, let alone how to monitor them.

All Vtubers are left to their own devices when it comes to tech support, which is a damned shame. You'd think at least the corpos would have some form of assistance, but company management (esp. Japan's) is just dumb. So they have to play hardware roulette and pay out the ass until they get something that works.

Nijisanji should just take me on as in-house mod staff.

  1. I don't care enough about any of their current talents to be an insufferable faggot in chat.
  2. I can manage chat bots for automated shit to take it out of the hands of the talent or myself for the easily predictable stuff; spambots, hate content, chinks, etc.
  3. I'm autistic enough to keep up with chat spam from at least 17000 (listed) CCV in a stream. Numbers well beyond anything your average 2232 has to worry about achieving.
  4. I hate the average chatter enough to jump at the opportunity to delete their dumb shit.
  5. I get off on invisibly abusing people without them knowing who to point fingers at.
The last two points are the most important. A healthy disdain for chat and an enjoyment of sowing a nervous distrust in the established power structure is how you foster a healthy chat ecosystem. If everyone is muted, no one can break the rules.

PCPARTPICKER is your friend it even tell you if the Mobo doesn't work to well with the case and if you need more juice for the GPU also come with a price watcher, prebuilts you are only paying for the installation and shipping

PSU never pick uncertified ones if possible check if the capacitors are not Chinese, everything below Gold is trash in my book, use Senchou tm rams that are socialist power grid approved, can't speak about nvme or SSD because I have never see or used one
