A few things I noticed in the past year/couple of months. Recently that drama about that anime "My dress up darling" I personally don't care for it, never watched it besides a few meme scenes, most likely never will seriously watch it. However a lot of people on Twitter, mostly left leaning SJW types, seemed to go ballistic about the 17 year old main character being sexualized. These same type of people also get really pissed whenever anime or other fictional media feature female characters in the 16-17 age range.
And it's not even always about them being sexualized, just them merely being portrayed as physically attractive in a non sexual way, is enough to make these people freak the fuck out. Scream at the creators, or anyone who enjoys it for being pedophiles. This of course brings up the topic from a real world point of view. A 16-17 year old girl (mostly talking about 17 year olds here) is no longer a little girl, or a child. They're sexually mature and physically look indistinguishable from adults. (I know, some of them look like little girls, there are some 40 year olds that look like little girls, and vise versa, I'm talking on average)
If I look at a 16 or 17 year old girl on the street, not knowing her age, and I find her attractive, does that make me a pedophile? In my opinion absolutely not. They often look like adults, have developed bodies (breasts, butt), and you often just cannot tell the difference. But if I were to admit this to someone, many people would SCREACH at me that "OMG UR A FUCKIN PEDO!!!!!11111" I just find that absolutely fucking bonkers. Now I'm not saying that I wake up in the morning and say to myself: ""hey I'm gonna go look for some hot 16 or 17 year olds to fuck"" But if I happened to meet someone in the 17 range, and we hit it off, I don't see what's so morally wrong about having a sexual relationship. Many European countries and American states AOC is 16/17.
To me, I think it's just projection, I feel like many of these people scream about this shit because they're actually pedos in denial trying to something similar to what we call troll shielding, or just shielding. Trying to deflect on other people in some weird attempt at alleviating their insecurities. And I know I mentioned left wingers earlier, but it's not just them, I think it absolutely happens on both sides of the spectrum. Let me know what you guys think.
