While I try to avoid posting Demond pics, I think this one is significant (and unsexualized other than the lipstick) as it demonstrates Wendy Lou's obsession with re-living her late 80s/early 90s "peak" through her poor son.

What false narrative about Desmond? That he stripped in sex clubs while inebriated grown men threw money at him? That he made videos with a convicted murderer/drug dealer/pimp? It might not be overtly sexualized, but it still is: In that, Desmond is NEVER EVER ALLOWED to just look N-O-R-M-A-L.

Nah...he's ALWAYS gotta look like some mishmash of Grey Gardens, Multiple Maniacs, The Diane Linkletter Story, Party Monster, and a bunch of random Flock of Seagulls videos.

He's NEVER allowed to look like just...a little boy. A normal boy who likes trains and maybe Nickelodeon Gak. She's always got his hair, clothes, and (yeah, the lipstick) looking like a burnt out old Quentin Crisp. And we have NO IDEA if that is even what he really wants.

And that is sad.

So when do we reach the tipping point where he's no longer "cute and boyish" to the sexual predators around him and an iota of self-awareness begins to creep in, and he kills himself? I feel someone this fucking damaged is only going to end very badly, and seeing this thread pop up again reminded me that as appalling as this was on 2017, the kid is now about 5 years older and now he's more of a creepy fag himself than a pitiable victim of sexual abuse to the casual observer.
