Small child, do you even know who the FUCK John is? Come here and place your hand on his inner thigh while he tells you all about it.

Yes, there are maybe two 39-year-olds whose nerdy dads had 5200s to be their first system. I doubt two and three year olds were messing with Atari RF adapters.

Now, a Nintendo or Sega RF adapter...

"Literally the mathematical average age" is "over 40."

Engineer John showing off the math, English, and reporting skills of a guy who was expelled from a third-tier college after 10 years of unsuccessfully pursuing a worthless journalism degree.

It's also patently false. A cursory search brings up multiple studies that pegs the average age of gamers at mid-30s (here's a page with a compilation of studies). Core gamers are likely to skew younger, early 30s, as this (somewhat older) study says.

John proves once again he is incapable of lying. Either that, or he's just plain ignorant of everything.

I am surprised that serious woman programming woman developer woman genius woman John WF has not made his own woman twitter yet.

Who does John think owns twitter now? Poor people? The government?
The company is owned by investment firms and billionaires. Some of who became billionaires through twitter while others did not.

"smart people"...
John is an idiot. Network effect is why twitter is used. Posting on other services reduces audience. For an alternative to be possible, it would need to impress a small audience and then have the capability to scale. Twitter does not even scale well, which is why you get them "not available" or whatever errors from the site/api.

this is just it in one tweet
without the 'trust and safety committee' then you can't use your identity shield to defend your bullshit; your ideas have to stand or fall on their own merit

it's why 4chan in the early days basically created internet subculture, pure meritocracy
everyone was an idiot and a loser until they proved otherwise and that cred lasted as long as the post

john is shitscared of any hint of the original wild west internet coming back into being because he knows he can't compete

FUCK billionaires right in the ASSHOLE, why should they have all that money to spend on useless SHIT while working-class folks like John Walker Flynt struggle daily to make ends meet?

John is not wasting money on toys, it's an INVESTMENT you fucking piece of shit.

John once again tries to flex and reveals his economic illiteracy
even if the pinball tables weren't suffering depreciation from his masterful engineering work, luxury products don't inflate in a depressed market because your middle class clientele don't have the disposable income to drive up prices
a savvy investor would be buying up low mileage workhorse cars like toyota pickups or fertiliser futures or rare earth metals given the current geopolitical trends

good job frank is in charge of his boytoy's allowance

Unironically you're a fucking idiot

None of those safety features will protect you from re,tardly backing up into a parking bollard.

I an see why John wouldn't drive a viper

let's hear from a professional reviewer

well John is a poseur (aka bench-racer)

(ever notice that John has, on occasion, put "racer" in his twitter bio, but never posts any standings, shots from the track or even tech inspection)

after some criticism about ergonomics, etc ...what about the driving experience?

oh,one thing about that review..he was (passed away sadly)...wait for it bri bri..a Porsche enthusiast!

The viper is going to have a lot of throttle steer b/c of the amt of power you can put through it ... it's just not a beginner's car is all

John's, at best, a beginner : he hangs his hat on being able to drive an manual. It's like saying you are a great pole vaulter b/c you can tie your shoes and don't need velcro.
He had no idea what advantages electric motors have and he didn't een know it wasn't "combustible engine" til just a few years ago, he didn't even know what a locking rear diff was even though Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) USES ONE

funny part is bri bri doesn't even realize that the 911 also has a handling rep of too much and twitchy oversteer

Scam PAC's quarterly report is out. And, well, it's basically over. Wu said on her podcast that she'd just received a big cheque and she was staffing up for the midterms. That was before the report deadline, and there's no sign of any big donation. Donations are down by about 50%, and Wu's still spending beyond the PAC's means even though they did basically nothing this quarter.

The only one of Wu's minions still standing is Susan Dawson, Wu's pseudo-data scientist. This really begs the question what a data scientist is doing when there's no actual data to analyse. The only thing Scam PAC did at all was donate 2600 bucks to Jessica Cisneros in Texas. So less than 10% of the scam PAC money actually goes towards actual campaign activities. At least Wu had the decency not to pay herself any money this quarter.

It's clear at this point that Wu's completely checked out of Scam PAC. It exists only so Wu can claim to be an "Executive Director" of soemthing.

Could the large donation be a reference to fellow lolcow Cenk Uygur?

I think ‘Bench Racer’ gives our boy too much credit. Instead, I’d call him a good chainer.

According to Urban Dictionary, a gold chainer is “Someone who defines themself as a hot rodder but has never worked on a car before. They pay a shop to build a car and perform modification/maintenance instead of doing it themself. Often they dont even know anything about the car they had built.”.

I’m a car guy who doesn’t have much interest in actually racing. I like wrenching on cars and get a great deal of enjoyment from getting them running and then just cruising. I’m not someone who believes everything needs to be ‘bone stock’ and will make some concessions for performance and reliability…. But I have no desire to see the upper limits of my 1950 Plymouth’s performance capabilities

I want to be able to be able to do 80mph on the freeway and look cool while doing it. That requires me to hop up the anemic Flathead 6 cylinder engine with a single barrel carb and single exhaust, not to mention the poorly geared 3 speed.

That, by my definition at least, makes me a ‘hotrodder’. I know the eccentricities of the engine that I built. I didn’t do the machine work myself (as I’m not tooled up to do so), but everything that was done at my direction (shaving the heads .060 to raise the compression, cross drilling the rear journal on the crank to prevent oil starvation at higher RPMs, etc). I picked the parts that went back into that engine and installed them myself (230degree cam, dual headers, vintage Edmunds dual 2bbl intake, electronic ignition etc etc).

I spent a lot of time learning to be a good mechanic by listening to old timers and asking questions. It took years for me to get to the point where I am. I’m a pretty good mechanic but I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know everything.

Johnny-Boy, the cockless wonder, is the exact opposite. He can’t shut his mouth long enough to take in any new information, he considers his opinions to be infallible and as soon as he hits a rough patch on a project car, that car disappears forever.

He’s not particularly knowledgeable about how his cars work and he won’t stop pretending he is long enough to learn anything. You can look at his wall of tools (such that it is) and see quickly he’s not doing most (or any) of the work himself. Instead he pretends that he’s some master mechanic and pins his identity around that. He’s the very definition of a gold chainer.

They grew up, got jobs, had families, and purchased houses (with their own money), John. But you're right - it's pure cringe that more 45 year olds are not childless homosexuals with basements filled with toys.

We wanted to burn down the moral majority and have freedom
now we have a bunch of progressives doing a moral majority impression and amazingly we want to burn it down

'we want to be free! we want to be free to do what we wanna do! we wanna be free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man! and we wanna get loaded!' -- mudhoney, in n out of grace

This is exactly the kind of useful thing that Elon Musk could have spent his money on instead of buying Twatter!

this thing costs £275 for the basic model which lets you basically do lightly weighted aerobics in your living room
a gym membership, a copy of starting strength and maybe a few sessions with a strength coach (if you're too dumb to follow the literally laid out movements in starting strength) will come in waaayyyy under that and produce actual results. and that's before you buy all your paperweight dumbbells to swing around infront of your tv

gotta hand it to peloton, they keep managing to take old fitness fads, add in an AI that goes 'wow look how good you are' and selling it to retards at 20x the price
guess people really will spend anything aslong as it isn't effort or commitment when it comes to getting in shape

Maybe not that specific one but that had been a pretty generic general type of connector for years before the 5200. I think even the original home version of Pong used one of these.
