I interpreted this as her wanting to be on a team with Qu-chan, which would've turned the tournament into an absolute stomp since they'd easily be one of the best teams in the lobby by themselves. Selen also said that she wanted to participate in her own tournament with a team of herself (masters), Dtto (pred), and Bobon (diamond), but she couldn't come up with a points system that would justify that while still allowing for relatively balanced teams.

Really, one of the biggest hurdles to an EN vtuber tournament is simply the lack of high-skill English-speaking vtubers, and Selen specifically wants only vtubers to participate. I think Kazune's the only EN masters player and after that you're pretty much left with RPR with a vtuber model and any literal 2views that exist out there.

Seeing a full Holomember game of Battlefield (one of the good ones) might be kinda fun. Like the entire company playing with no one else and team captains (Botan and who?) drafting their teams. It works for Nijisanji too but i don't care about enough Nijis (pretty much just Elira at this point) to get excited about something like that.

Edit: Might be a good way of encouraging new fans or casuals to get invested in lesser known members and stars to.

The Left 4 Dead (and even Back 4 Blood to an extent) collabs are always fun to watch. And if speaking more competitively I have a blast watching Botan play CoD, and the CoD Collabs with Luna, Subaru, Choco, and Botan/Miko and Luna. Though CoD hasn't really been on anyone's schedule for a long time.

Putting any level of expectations in a Nux Title or Thumbnail is setting yourself up for disappointment

Nux fans know to just go along for the ride and be surprised by when the thumb or Title is NOT clickbait eg RushiNeko following Nux

That's certainly true, but I feel like there could have been some room for negotiation in there somewhere. 'We can't let you play together but how about this' kind of deal. It sounds like there was a vote and then the rejection was put out there with no wiggle room.

It's possible Selen didn't want to participate if she couldn't play with Qu, but her lack of elaboration despite she herself acknowledging the lack of good players in the EN scene came off more as her trying to bite something back.

I remember seeing a clip of Botan saying how she hasn't really played much of COD Vanguard because it was shit, and that there weren't any really good, new FPS games to play.

Im surprised holoEN its still relevant even with the menace of twitch EN vtubers and their lewd/degenerate culture. I dont want the future to become the latter but with vshojo & nijiEN joining forces im kinda afraid honestly. How long holoEN content will last in these conditions? I dont know for sure, its a type of content i really love and without it i would quit watching EN vtubers, unless a susprise holoEN replacement with the same type of content or better comes in the next years.
