Im surprised holoEN its still relevant even with the menace of twitch EN vtubers and their lewd/degenerate culture. I dont want the future to become the latter but with vshojo & nijiEN joining forces im kinda afraid honestly. How long holoEN content will last in these conditions? I dont know for sure, its a type of content i really love and without it i would quit watching EN vtubers, unless a susprise holoEN replacement with the same type of content or better comes in the next years.

Interesting, for me it is the exact opposite. NijiEN girls and vshoujo jumped head first into the Twitch-like experience which is already super crowded with both vtuber indies and real life streamer groups like OTK and OfflineTV + their extensive network of mostly Asian content creators who also offer the uwu weeb/kpop girls + asian and white guys to ship em with, talk anime, draw, sing and play LoL or Valorant.

Hololive is the one that remains relevant by having HoloEN pay some lip service to the whole idol thing and by recruiting talented people who are not your typical polished streamers. It's kinda like how Coco stood out in Hololive by scandalizing and shocking her more seiso peers to now... she now sorta fades in with the other indies imo as Kson. I'm happy she is still going great and no longer has to give HL a cut of her $$ but I no longer have any reason to catch any of her streams.

This is why I'm not shocked Nina is growing so much faster than her gen mates in subs. Her boomer mom/wine aunt schtick makes her stand out from her other Asian-<insert country> weeb and gaming streamer chick peers in NijiEN.

Answering to the previous quote also: Its because is not the norm, lewd content on holo is casually shown (talking generally of course, i know haachama and counted alikes push the limits). Holo its like early Animaniacs: it has sexual & adult jokes/innuendos sprinkled but its not the main content of the cartoon. Its like eating spicy food without the urge need to drink milk due the hotness. They know how to balance it very well.

Also, im not for the strict idol content, its more like general audience, leaning to parental guide content, its a more digestible content for me at least.

I don't mind the coomerbaiting that much, the one member I used to watch and kinda enjoyed before she joined vshojo is the literal pornstar, what gets me the about them is twofold though. Firstly, Froot, Veibae, Nyanners and Zen are genuinely terrible fucking people, Nyanners being the absolute worst in my opinion because she would do absolutely fucking anything to get a whiff of clout. She doesn't actually believe in anything, she has no opinions or personality, and she will flip wherever the wind is blowing, as is evident with her going from being a 4chan darling, to being an SJW, to being whatever the fuck pee pee poo poo XD creature she is now. Secondly, all of them feel incredibly fake. Not fake as in "playing a character", but white woman fake, like they hate their audience and everyone outside of their clique with a passion, but will still attach themselves to more popular people out of convenience. But then again, 99% of twitch thots do radiate the same energy so it's entirely to be expected.

In the end, I do wish Mel and IronMouse would get the fuck away from these soulless harlots, but that's never gonna happen.

Pretty much every team looking nervous as fuck right now as the early game quickly descended into a massive dogfight.

Siro Channel carrying the torch for the OG V-Tubers with an early win. Upsets as Towa's team take dead last and Chihiro and Matsuri's teams fare no better. It's going to be a scrappy tournament.

The big hitters during scrims continue to struggle. Towa's team with another gut punch but Pakael and Chihiro suffer another low-scoring game.

Deron's team take 1st Place which puts them in 1st overall. Yuika Shiina's team have come out of practically nowhere to take 2nd whilst Siro falls to 3rd. Reimu's team currently remain in the Top 5.

The game will change completely in rounds 4 and 5 as the kill cap is removed, but for now it's best Towa's team plays more passively to get some points on the board.

Naraka's sudden siege on the tournament continues with a 1st Place finish, assisted by the fact the both Deron's team and Gorilla's team (who were 1st and 3rd respectively) placed 7th and 8th, giving them a 9pt lead going into the 4th Round.

StartEnd were able to clear their first hurdle by killing Axia's team, who killed them last time, but ran into a Noah-shaped wall that dumped them out into 15th.

The kill caps are off now so things can change drastically.

Kuzuha's team edges out Noah's team in a highly congested final zone to secure 2nd on the leaderboards. 10 kills and a 2nd Place for Noah's team puts them back into the Top 5, and despite a 10th Place finish, Naraka's team holds 1st Place by 8pts.

A nice surprise as Roberu's team, who haven't won a single match in scrims, sit in 6th Place with a good shot at Top 3 as we go into the final round.

Great tournament - a big team winning is great and I love Chiichan but her in last is good for everyone as well cause the point of the event is to promote lesser known talents. Hopefully Startend sign their prizes and sell them off for the next VSaikyou cause we all know they don't need the money. The amount of fan art, the song and the general hype around them was amazing.

Kuzu's team is such a smurf team tbf but they are fun so I forgive them. Gori in 4th makes me very happy. Matsuri and co. - well I hope they had fun.

Non-vtuber I actually liked RPR's stream. He is really into vtubers, enough to bring on Reps who doesn't care about it that much and sperg out about the games and talents and Japanese. That point about Coco is actually a pretty strong one. For anyone who raves about how other companies have relaxed rules or avoid "idol-like" behavior, its exactly because of this that they garner so much attention, since the talents try to skirt and bend the rules as much as they can, they actually become incredibly more creative with their content as a result. Again, just look at Kson, who has no one stopping her, and tell me if she has shown to be much more creative vs when she was Coco.

Something something "freedom is the enemy of creativity". This also applies to Nijisanji, if you think Nijisanji is like Vshoujo, you probably need to watch Nijisanji more.

I would also like to note that Marine also takes advantage of this, Marine would probably fall pretty well on Vshoujo with the sort of stuff she does, right? (or if you exclusively watch clips) Then you watch her streams, and find an incredibly good entertainer, artist and singer, thus, when the girls are being not "idol-like", it brings far more attention than, say, a Vshoujo member saying they're totally a virgin.

This is closest to it, I think. Holo-sexlessness isn't a thing, so it isn't the difference. A few of them avoid that stuff, but only a few.

In her past couple streams Haachama (famously lewd) has mentioned that her new teacher is a Hololive fan. She's been cutely nervous/defiant about it.

The closest she came to calling the guy an otaku sex creep she should be worried about is saying that he likes Marine—something he and Chama have in common, and so do most of the viewers.

I think I can make a complete list of equally lewd non-Holo tubers who could tell a story like that without brutally insulting the guy's (i.e., the audience's) sanity and sexuality: Nyanners.

"Western degeneracy" is moral but it isn't sexual. It's being enraged when girls and corporations (high status) show any respect for losers.
